To all you who want an APC40 but cannot afford it, I suggest the APC20. I have one and I recommend it highly. Not really sure what the additional things on the APC40 do though because I am not experienced enough to even begin to understand those knobs and stuff.

I fear that once I start buying studio stuff, that I may never quit.

For starters, I'm looking at FL XXL. I have that SC Promo version of Ableton but I never got the hang of it.
I want to built the most powerful badass of a PC there ever was.
I want an actual desk. Literally I am using two square folding tables. I can't get close to the desk in my chair because of the inner front two legs.
After I go off to college I'll probably buy the Korg Nano Series set+ bag.

I finished editing a software to turn my drawing pad into a midi controller and I CAN'T FIND THE DAMN TOUCH PEN!!! I swear the army could invent invisibility cloaks made out of those things.

So... in other words... I need some extra drawing tablet pens. : P

I'd personally go for a different DAW than FL if I were you. FL is great, and it has some good plugins, but there are some functions that some of the better DAWs have that FL doesn't. Such as freezing tracks, some hardware capabilities, more RAM usage, and better plugins. Plus, if you're using FL, the virtual mixer board, for whatever reason it'll distort the instrument if you route it through too many insert slots at once (which is annoying because it makes it hard to sidechain compress properly. I'd advertise Ableton (which apparently you're bad at, lol), Reason, or Cubase. Although there are a gazillion threads in the technique section, so go find one of those if you want to learn more about the various DAWs you can get.

Sigh... You know what? All I want now is a job, because weeks have passed and I've been applying at places, but nope. I went in for an interview, and the place is still going through applications last time I called, so I'm hoping that means they're still looking through, and I'm going to call again soon, but I am having bad luck trying to find a job.

Dafuq? Side chaining doesn't require any more than two channels. FL is fine, if that's what works for you. Basically it's capable of all the same stuff other daws are. It handles ram differently, but as for features that aren't currently implemented, probably will be in a future update that you'll get for free because FL has free updates.

That isn't to say you shouldn't look at other daw's, but just form your own opinion.

As for things I want, basically I want a nice desk, my monitors/sub back from my girlfriend and a more private room to work in. All of which I'm getting next month.

I want a 27" imac, an acoustically treated room, an analog outboard summer, monitors that can go as low as 10hz, sound isolation so I don't wake up my GF at night when I do most of my work, a 88-key fully weighted midi keyboard, Sennheiser HD265 linear that I will never get because they're discontinued without anything to replace them, a good simple preamp, a DI box, a microphone that doesn't turn rain into noise, a field recorder with stereo mics, a 2TB SSD drive, a hardware recreation of sylenth (oh wait it's virus derp), a 20/20 firewire audio interface to plug this all, a saxophone, a cello, a violin, a friend I can collab with realtime.

Having an irl friend to collab with would be pretty awesome. Nobody at my school really has an interest in producing electronic based music.

A good drum VST. The garage band drums that I have been using work great, I would just like something that sounds more realistic.

Also, Massive. It seems that a lot of people use it, and I hear great things about it.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, I could also use a mixing board. Something to plug into my computer when I work on my final mix.

My own interface I don't have to borrow from a friend, a DI box, a guitar pre amp, and a keyboard stand.

Oh and a computer that can run more than 4 instances of Massive without pooping on me. Seriously my R&R entry is hell to mix.

Had regular do equipment once, got bored and sold it. I now do with a one of a kind setup, midi controllers and software, things that I can program to fit my needs.

That said I would still like some CDs 2000's and the matching DJM mixer so I keep my beat matching skills from drifting away.

To actually be able to afford my DAW.
More VST's, or at least better ones overall.
A better computer than my Dell Laptop.
The Fabfilter Plugin set. Twin 2 is efficient, and there effects are great for people like me who like visuals and in overall quality.
Zebra 3, because I know I won't be able to get it until after it's released.
A more acoustically treated room.
A better desk.
An Access Virus TI Synth. My personal favorite hardware synth.
Time
A Midi Keyboard that isn't broken.
Someone in real life who knows more about EDM than that Skrillex exists and makes wubs.
Maybe one of those live button things I don't know the name of. It doesn't seem that want-able at the moment though.
A personal trainer to slap me until I make a song, because my work ethic and perfectionism get in the way too often.
[Insert pointless filler here]

Ok, I'll add a couple things to my list too.

An External Harddrive. I don't wanna lose all my shit if my computer goes kaputnik.
Some acoustic treating.
some Christmas lights to hang around for the lulz.
Komplete 7 (still need to remember to get that off my step dad.)
Obligitory Time
A soft pillow because I get sleepy.

cplbradley: You don't want numark mixer sets, trust me.

I'd like me a pair of CDJ's and a DJM as well... And perhaps a pair of better studio monitors, the ones I got right now were nice for starting out a few years ago, but now they're getting kinda... well... I need something better.

The KRK headphones I bought a few weeks ago are fine until I actually get cash to buy new monitors though. :P

Would love to get some studio level speakers, i just do headphones currently.
Need a new dj controller to DJ fully digitally (ie computer /mp3 compatible)
Would love a Korg MicroKorg Analog if i had money to blow as i fell in love with it a few years ago and would love it fell off a truck and into my lap.

Microkorg is a VA ( virtual analog, or analog modelling) synth, nothing analog about it and it does do a poor job sounding analog. The sound it does make is awesome and unique, it's not that crappy digital sound but its nothing like analog.

For starters an actual room would be nice, one that's acoustically sound and also has space for all of my crap and enough area to walk around comfortably since my refrigerator-box sized bedroom is not up to par.

Once I have that a desk would be nice. An appropriate mic for every instrument and amp I have. Perhaps a mixing board to get everything down to one track for my interface. Some monitors would be cool.

Once I have that I can buy more amps and pedals and instruments. But then I'd have to buy more micas. And eventually I'd need a bigger room and the whole cycle begins anew.
