I'd personally go for a different DAW than FL if I were you. FL is great, and it has some good plugins, but there are some functions that some of the better DAWs have that FL doesn't. Such as freezing tracks, some hardware capabilities, more RAM usage, and better plugins. Plus, if you're using FL, the virtual mixer board, for whatever reason it'll distort the instrument if you route it through too many insert slots at once (which is annoying because it makes it hard to sidechain compress properly. I'd advertise Ableton (which apparently you're bad at, lol), Reason, or Cubase. Although there are a gazillion threads in the technique section, so go find one of those if you want to learn more about the various DAWs you can get.stakeout poni wrote:For starters, I'm looking at FL XXL. I have that SC Promo version of Ableton but I never got the hang of it.

Currently that would be a better solution for me than better monitors, because I live in an appartment with neighbours above, beneath and next to me...
