I don't understand why people are getting so worked up over this.

Holy fuck everyone on their website is whining like fucking bitches. Just like that whole 'Derpy' bullshit everyone will forget this and move on in another week or two.

Yup... So many babies within the community it's quite painful to watch how they react so immaturely. I guess watching an 8-year old girls show all of the sudden makes sense from their perspective.

Because fandom is babies.
colortwelve wrote:As a matter of principle for Hasbro, they need to protect their property.
As a matter of principle for Mane6, they really should be allowed to do what they will as long as they aren't profiting.
There's nothing anybody can do, but I'm going to look at this pragmatically. Habsro was losing exactly no money from this, and Mane6 were pouring their time and effort into something based on something else. It's nothing to rage over, but it would definitely be refreshing to see Hasbro take a look at one of its derivative works and decide not to shut it down in defense of a nonexistent profit.

As much as it's non-profit, it's still infringement on their property, and Hasbro can lose the rights to it if they let it slide through to my knowledge. (I'm not a law expert though, so please correct me if I'm wrong).

Nor am I, but if that's the case, I can definitely see why they'd do that. But from my vantage point, it seems rather draconian :/

But instead they waited until now, after all the time and effort put into the game to shut it down. Honestly, this is a really dick move on Hasbro, and not good for the rest of the fandom. If Mane6 has no chance of negotiating trademark rights with Hasbro, then no one does.
