I hope this isn't the shortest introduction here.

Hi guys,
Not exactly sure what to put here other than I want to get more involved with this community :).
I've known about the site forever but never really bothered to sign up or anything.
I'm definitely looking forward to sharing some music with everyone though!

I am BugBeast, an aspiring rapper and singer. You've probably never heard of me because I haven't released a single song yet. I have a very basic knowledge of music theory. Also, I am currently working on my debut EP "DeBugged". I'm open to collabs with anyone as well.

Also, Reaper is my current DAW.

Hello all,

I am Maestro Scherzo, based in the Seattle area. I am a classically trained musician with a masters in music composition. I am a music teacher at a local school, write commissions for local performers, and perform as a professional saxophonist.

I discovered MLP last year during my final semester of college and have become an active member of the sea-tac brony community this summer. And now, in what little free time I have, I am experimenting with writing and covering brony music, finishing 3 tracks this summer before teaching started and I've had to focus on that more. I look forward to sharing and learning from other musicians in the fandom.

Thanks for having me aboard, I've been lurking awhile but I'm ready to dive in.

Welcome Maestro Scherzo!
Playing the saxophone professionally is such a unique talent. In fact, I don't know of anyone else in the fandom who can claim they are able to do the same. That's something you can definitely use to your advantage.
Good luck with your music, and with your teaching as well.

Uh hi. I'm Vince, a.k.a Pinkie's Hacksaw in the brony community(the name may or not be obvious to those who have read a (in)famous fanfic). Outside of the community I do electronic industrial under Corroded Master, powernoise/rhythmic noise under either the name Seal-7 or Machtkrieg. I use REAPER for production and it doesn't always hate me. I'm 14, which in my style of music, you don't see a lot of people my age doing or listening to it. I don't see too many other in my style in this community either. But yeah. I love most music outside of modern country, Blood On The Dancefloor, and bluegrass(although I do respect those who play this style). Anywho, Hi!

Postby FIMprov » 19 Sep 2012 14:46

Hello everypony!
I am FIMprov. The name comes from my affinity for piano improvisation, which I must admit I am fairly new to. I have taken piano lessons for about 10 years now (more than half of my life) and consider the keyboard to be my forté. I haven't done anything yet that showcases the extent of my keyboard skill, but I'm hoping to put together a piano masterpiece one of these days. On the other hoof, the more electronic music I hear in this community, the more I like it! Funny thing, that; before I joined the community I had a non-brony friend tell me that I'd enjoy making electronic music.

So my plan of action is, once I get a new laptop, to use some combination of software that will let me do electronic and classical: likely any good DAW (Ableton, FL Studio, any recommendations?) and then separate VSTs for orchestral and synth instrumentation. I don't have a whole lot of time to write music during the fall and spring, but during the winter and summer I plan to be pretty active writing whatever I can. And I do write almost anything, be it metal, pop-rock, electronic, or classical. Whatever comes to mind, really.

Anyway, FIMprov is my only alias (other than my DA, which is "BalladOfInfinity"). You might have heard of me because of the one improvisation collab I was a part of that got on EQD, but other than that I'm pretty much still new and unheard of in this community. I hope to learn about producing electronic music however I can, and as much as possible.

Oh, and I suppose I should list the instruments I play...
Piano - 10 years
Trombone - 8 years
Guitar - 4 years
Baritone/Tuba - 3 years
Bass/Drum set (both self-taught) - 2 years

And I aspire to at least minor in music composition in college to give me an edge when it comes to classical music. I think that's pretty much it for me. Hello again, everypony!

Salutations! I am Subrick, the self proclaimed World's Ugliest Drummer. I'm an IRL cohort of fellow forum goer Morte McAdaver, as I play drums in his various musical projects. All the links to that stuff can be found in my signature. As for my own stuff, I have a Youtube channel where I do various things, such as drum videos, music reviews, and other assorted things. Plus I've got a Facebook where I just talk about whatever suites my palate at the time. I'm as mentioned a drummer (of four years) and I've just started learning guitar this week.

So yeah, that's me.

Hello. Armystuntman from youtube here. Not very known, not very popular. I like making and listening to orchestral polka or general orchestral background music or boss themes. I'm a huge fan of Grant Kirkhope, who's the composer of Banjo Kazooie and other known games.

Although, I never went to piano lessons or anything related to music. Learnt it the hard way, on my own, because I believe that going to music lessons will narrow and constrict your creativity in composing. Since I have bad coordination in everything, I've stuck to composing in programs instead of playing the songs myself. I'm a horrible piano player, but I can compose pretty well. Although I don't know what notes are called or look like...Err....

So yeah. That's me. Um. Hi.

Hello everypony!
Well my name is Kayin, or AJ irl. Whichever you feel like calling me is fine. I DJ and make music as a hobby. I just so happened to stumble by MLRemix thanks to Google when I decided to try and make a MLP mix and was looking for some tracks. It was until now that I decided to register here and hopefully learn a bit more about music, mixing, mastering, structure, and just all of the above. My music is pretty bland but i have interesting ideas. Just have to learn how to put that imagination on paper...well digital audio workstation in this case.

In any case, I do 2D & 3D graphics, play instruments, and going to school for game design but I may just change major to medical. Depends. I don't have my life together like I should T_T

Nice to meet everyone and I'll be posting some of my stuff here and try to stay active in this forum as much as I can.
