Anyway, soundcloud removed some of the high frequencies, it's honestly not this muddy in .wav (submission) form. I need to tweak the mix a little bit more and tack in a little bit more (I rendered out the whole track only to find out I forgot to add in half the patterns to the final chorus.)
Hooray me! For best effect, crank them woofers. There's quite a bit of low frequencies going on in this one.

Well, he given it out like half a month ago
anyway
Here's my tack so far, I'm thinking of adding some gitch in the vocals, how do you think?

This is pretty nice so far, and it's sounding pretty evenly mixed, which is quite rare here on MLR. xD Mixing is one of the biggest things I'll be looking at for the contest, so I'll definitely have my eye on this one.
While the mixing IS nice, the drums need to come up a bit. The delay on the piano is a bit much... Maybe try putting more delay or reverb on the vocals instead. Also... One thing I notice is that you changed almost nothing from the original midi, at least melodically. Honestly I'm not super picky about that because I like the arrangement so much, but this could really use some high synth leads or something to really switch it up and make it stand out.
Sorry for going OCD on you. xD This is one of my favorites out of the entries so far.
Aviators wrote:So guys, the deadline is getting close! That means I'm gonna be collecting all the submissions soon. Thing is, I will NOT be judging them for a good long while. With the delay of the album's release, I'm gonna give you guys some more time if you need it. If you're done by July 25th, awesome! If you need more time, just let me know. There's no real rush.

You said "a free copy of the album" twice! XD
