My stuff is orchestral, so to me, describing my flow is a little trickier
Most of my music starts of with a small little catchy tune that I think up of (mostly while I'm at work)
From there, I move to getting some kind of matching percussion beat. I mostly use whats called a Gran Casa percussion set, as it's the most fitting for my music...now if I had a good tycho drum sample set, I would die a happy man.
From there, it's just a weird process of trying to extend my song past more than 16 bars, which I tend to find harder than I would like. I also tend to elevate the intensity of my songs by raising the main tune by an octave.
But that's about it to get me started, obtain a small catchy tune then add some interesting percussion rhythm to it.
