Another BP album without Flutter Rex? That would be 20% less cooler. So I'm trying to ruin this evil plan ATM. 14 days to deadline... Wish me luck, I surely need it.

Mostly electronic or rock since I grew with rock and I can make electronic easily, but I'm adding a lot of genres together for the after party. Besides the After party, I stick with electronic/rock/rap...

Sure! But once I'm done my finals and buy mixcraft I'll be able to that's like June 28 or something.
Cuz if I don't get a good mark or wutev (Like mark>80) on the 4 core courses, I won't be able to make music for the whole summer :O

VINXIS and Anorax, there are personal messages for a reason...

Also, Mouby made me a teaser trailer (he's the best :3) and I was wondering if I'm allowed to post it?
I like music /)*(\

DJ Pon-3 wrote:There's some weird EQ drops going on like they are fighting for room within a limiter. Overall the song WILL need some builds and drops if ur gonna do dubstep, not just 2 min of wubs (which i can't tell if it is or isn't yet), it's that motion that will make or break it. It seems a little chiched for dubstep so far (no offense) but then again its hard to say off such a short clip. Maybe some glitch, quick panning, or other things could spice it up more. I do like the pony sample.

Alrighty then ^.^ I'll be sure to remember that for my next song. I'm still pretty new to massive, so I still need time to get my way around it. And by "fighting for room within a limiter", do you suggest that I should remove the fruity limiter from the master channel? Other than that, thanks for the feedback. Always appreciated ^.^

NO

Absolutely not. A limiter helps prevent clipping, but if the limiter is reducing your track volume, you need to figure out what has too much volume and reduce it.
I'm going to paraphrase a quote from Reso's Producer Masterclass video 1
Reso wrote:A good analogy I've heard is thinking of your frequency range as a chest of drawers. You can't keep shoving and shoving stuff in by boosting levels, if you take stuff out and rearrange stuff, you'll get it to all fit in nicely.

What he's talking about is subtractive EQing. If your kick has it's strongest peak at, say, 100hz, then try to make sure your wobbles don't cover up the kick at 100hz. Use an eq to keep your wubs (or any other regular bass) either above 100hz (mostly for moving bass) or below it (for sub-bass). Or, just have your bass EQ'd to have all the range BUT 100hz.

It's better to subtract some frequencies so you have "play room" later, than to boost them and have a loudness war later on
Wow, alright ^.^ I watched all of Reso's masterclass videos, as well as Dodge and Fusky's, but I never really understood that analogy completely until you explained it to me ^.^ thanks. I would fix it if I could, but the only problem is that I made the entire song in the FLS10 trial, which doesn't allow me to save, so I can't edit my work without recreating every instrument and pattern, which would take me forever to do. And I think that I'll deal with it for now, and use this knowledge you have bestowed upon me in later songs I make. Also, DJ-PON3 or Vinyl Scratch, whoever it was that made the post about my teaser being a bit short, I have a link to the full version on youtube. I made it unlisted so that I could submit to the event, of course ^.^
