I'll leave that up to you.

Thanks for the advice and positive feedback. Like I said before, I threw this together in about an hour, so I wasn't expecting to continue it. But I'll continue it and try and use your advice. :D

EDIT: What do you suggest I do to smoothen the transition?

trust me. It's much more satisfying when you solve things without help.

my opinion is that the volume dropped off too quickly, but you can literally do anything you want to that section to add intensity and make an awesome transition.
experiment with it. I think you'll like it.

Alrighty then. I'll see what I can do. Thanks again for the advice. Mmmm... Advice rhymes with rice. *drools*

That's why there are different varieties if rice. For example... Fried rice, Sticky rice, Brown rice, etc. I prefer steamed or fried rice.

Anything I could do to make it better?

Last night, I turned my ripoff of Boards of Canada into a ripoff of Feed Me's 'Relocation,' and now I'm trying to figure out sound design for liquid dnb for the Collabortion album.
Youtube -- Soundcloud -- Tumblr -- Bandcamp (new album out!)

I can't feel my brain.

I originally didn't like it, because the intro threw me off a little bit. Whatever effect it is you have on the guitar sounds weird when there's not other instruments around it.

I like it so far, but I think I'd be able to make a better critique with a longer WIP.

Yeah, Kyoga's right, that's way to much distortion on that lead synth. Turn that down I think you'd have somethin' pretty nifty-sounding.

I worked on that one random song a little bit. I still need a name for it though. I also wanna try and make it have to do with ponies somehow. Any suggestions are fine.

I'm learnin' the language of WUBWUBWUB or at least the language of BRZZRZZRZZ

http://soundcloud.com/applejinx/2012-05-21

I figured out how to run sidechains into two different kinds of Logic softsynths. One to run my drums track through a total synth resonant filter, and one to modulate the bass with a kick, and then I made the bass do insane silly things with the kick instead of just ducking (like, modulate the waveforms and inverse modulate the cutoffs and who knows what else, it got real messy)

Fun!

Alright here's a full-ish WIP of the song I'm working on (longer than 12 seconds). It's a song.

I would really appreciate tips on mastering (hint hint), as that has always been my weakness.

It's a song.

Or it will be. When I'm done. Or. I don't know. Thrackerzod!!!

This is basically the synth I use for, well. Everything in this song. This thing can do a TON. And its free :D which always makes things better!

I also used TAL's bitcrusher, which is also free, and the 3xosc for some subbass lines.

And samples from anything Sweetie Belle has ever sung in the show.

Currently I'm working on song which is a MIDI-based project I've had in the works for a while - it will be a sort of progressive metal-themed suite divided into 9 or 10 movements. It will tell the story of a man on his quest to rid the world of disorder and the various worlds he visits throughout.

So far it's looking as though it will end up as more than 40 minutes of some of my most complex riffs, stupidest guitar/keyboard solos, and most erratic time signature changes - so I do have to wonder if I've gone a bit above par with this one.

I'm taking a lot of cues from Dream's Theater's "Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence" and Symphony X's "The Odyssey". If you haven't heard those songs yet and you're a prog metal fan, you owe it to yourself to check 'em out.
My Website - I post stuff here.
My DeviantART - I make terrible art here.

Jimmy's MIDI Powerhouse - More than 150 original MIDIs!

That sounds super ambitious and crazy awesome. Good luck!

I'm slowly making progress on a post-rock song for the charity album. Also have a dance-punk/hardcore remix/cover of "Clash with Dash" that I've been messing with. Unfortunately neither are ready for WIP posting yet, but they're getting there!

I'm like a turtle tortoise when it comes to music.
