Listen man, making music isn't about being popular. I consider making music to be two things: A hobby, or a passion. It's not something you use to get famous, fame from music happens at random and is extremely volatile, you cannot beg for views and then become popular, and even if you did, this would come up and be really bad PR.
Music is a part of you, it's something you express yourself with, you do it because you want the sound. You want a sick drop with wubs everywhere, You want a symphonic cresendo, You want a guitar solo, You want a kazoo. Your music should be Yours alone, and if you're lucky other people will like it, if not, enjoy Waffle House, you'll be there for years.
I make classical music, I've also been in this community for almost 10 months. You have both more subs, and views than me. But it doesnt matter to me because I have My music. I make my soft intros and big ends. Sure I'll get jealous of the one guy with 1 million subs, but that wont make me contour my style to others. Again, it happens at random. The most popular we have in Classical is Makkon, and he doesn't even want to be a music artist! He's an art god, music is his hobby and he does what he likes: Movie soundtracks. Atleast you make electronic music. You want popularity hard mode? Try some fucking classical. Sit there and make the instruments hundreds of years old sound interesting and try and get the modern person to listen to it. Music is serious business when you have a passion for it. You cant cheat, you'll get caught, and it'll be even harder then.
If you do have a record deal, then work on that. If you do preform for other people, make sure your heart is in that music, if it's sincere, they'll come back. Hell, if you're not lying you're already better off than most of us here.
We use this place to try new things and get better, not become popular, and I suggest you do the same.
