This thread, if you read through it, helped a whole lot of ponies and that is a good reason if you ask me to keep it going. And I reapeat. Facade is loved!

Pickslide1992 wrote:because right now, I feel the same way you did when you first began this thread, Facade. Sure I have FL Studio at my disposal, but I feel my beats are generic and I'm literally bringing nothing new to the table. I look back at my older stuff and think "This stuff is absolute shite, only someone without a sense of taste would listen to this garbage."

Somewhere, no matter what I try, somepony's going to be the best at that genre and be the only one recognized for it, and everypony else will be disregarded.
Go on, listen to one of my songs and listen to someone else's, I bet you money that other persons' is going to be better in some way.

I took about a month off, and the day I came back I pulled an all nighter and had a rough draft of a song I REALLY liked. All I need to do was recharge my batteries.

I agree. Taking a break is really helpful. I found this out the hard way with a band I'm in. You can only beat your head against the wall so many times before you get a concussion. When you take a little time off, ideas start to flow back. You get epiphanies a lot quicker.

what are your opinions? should i quit or should i just try harder?
i've been getting the same feelings and vibes recently, but the best advice i can offer you is
1: Don't give up
2: Try something new
