For feedback upload the whole song to dropbox.com. As for teasers, ask InC for specifics. I wouldn't make a song that you still want feedback on public. Just put it on a private website like dropbox and then link it to us c:

Slow Eurobeat.
Actually is house.
Sounds like Stormwolf on Ritalin.
Clap clap clap clap clap...
*Dances.
~~~~SERIOUS~~~~
This needs a riff in the background. An arpeggio of some sort.
Okay nice, because I really need feedback on this.
Haven't made an outro yet but working on it.
Before I begin it should be noted that I am primarily an orchestral musician, and that everything I say is subject to my stupidity.
I feel like the drums could be a little more clear in the mix. Make sure you're EQing all of your low-end stuff very carefully to give room for the kick. If you are, it might be a simple case of turning the drums up a little (or for better practice, turning everything else down). They say as a starting point, your kick, which should be the loudest part of a mix, should be peaking at around -6 dB. Base everything else around that. That will give you plenty of headroom.
I also feel like the drop bass is a little unclear. As a non-electronic musician, I couldn't really say how to fix it. Just pointing out the symptoms, not the cure I guess.
I do like the chord progression. Figured I'd throw in some positive feedback along with my criticism. As an orchestral musician, if it were me, I would vary the velocities and placement (random quantize)on the piano, but I know dance music is a little more accepting of unrealistic pianos, so if it was a choice then I suppose it doesn't matter.
Pretty strong WIP, just needs some tuning up c: Ask around for better feedback. Two people who really know their mixing are HMage and Lavender Harmony. Try asking them about it.
I have to be honest, right now I'm scared that my humble piano solo is going to make it. This is fantastic!
Yeah, it's true that the kick could be a touch bigger, but based on experience from the previous charity album thingy, the judges aren't exactly too fond of that. When my song got through last time (which was a colossal surprise), I remember InC telling me that all the judges wanted less of a kick sound, and less bass in general. As I type this, I'm listening to the previous album on shuffle, and it seems that most (if not all) of the songs that made it through had about the same amount of kick/bass power as your current WIP. Listen to "Arcade Attitude" by Senjan (which I personally think is the closest song to yours, even though it's still pretty far off) to gauge where you are right now on that point.
If I have any criticism, it's that the static sweep white noise thing prior to the drop might be going a little too high on the frequency. For the first bar or so after the drop, this might be a problem, but after that, everything's fine. Perhaps pitch up the arpeggiator thing and then lower the volume a little to create even moar magic? Idk, I'm still really bad at producing, please take my comments with a grain of salt or whatever those old people say![]()
Whoa, just got back to listening to the album, and I came across "Failure's Not an Option", and that one is loaded with bass. So I suppose you can bring up your kick, but just feel free to do whatever you feel like is best, because this one's bound to be in the final album
Based on the previous album, I can confirm that this is false. Stars In Autumn remixed "Vicious Lies" by d.notive, so if you have permission, I see no reason not to do a remix. Unless you're like me. I suck at remixes.
InC wrote:Remixes are allowed with the original author's permission, but we can't use material from the show, sorry.
I like very much! One thing that I have to comment though--I know that dance music is generally tolerant of unrealistic piano, but realistic piano, if possible, is even better! Now, normally, just random quantizing the piano would be enough, but, in this case, I feel like it could use even more. Particularly, in the intro, you have a lot of repeated notes. Being that I've played piano for 7-8 years (not straight of course, but you know what I mean), I can safely tell you without fear of sounding completely stupid that the note velocity has to increase with every note. You see it with classical music all the time--ostinato, although repetitive, has to have some sort of direction. Altering the intro piano to follow this rule will go a long, long way
Everything else after this break is completely optional and subject to my own stupidity with music production.
Other than that, I would have liked to have heard more reverb on the hit in that middle section, at around 1:15. The sound just sort of dissipates and I'm left with a bit too much of a silence before the main melody resurfaces again. In fact, the whole mix in general, I think, especially the piano, would benefit from a tiny bit more reverb.
I really like the outro. The piano is kept short, simple, and sweet, and is probably what makes this song a shoo-in for the album. A subtle sort of synth pad thing for the first eight bars might add even more, but what do I know? Maybe the reverb will cover that.
Keep in mind that this is all just a bunch of nitpicking on my part, and that you're definitely going to make the cut, likely as one of the first few opening tracks on the album!
YES YES YES
Now I have nothing more to say. Best of luck with the submission and possibly the girl!
