Postby fatcat44101 » 05 Apr 2013 17:44

Hello everyone :) I've been producing music for quite some time now, and have recently decided to try and combine my love for ponies and music production into a single hobby. before I attempt any remixes or other pony related music, id love some feed back on some of my older projects and my latest song. Given I'm not an expert producer, my older work is quite bad :P. I'd still like some feedback though.

Most of my songs don't have titles, or they're just random. Below is my latest song. i'd appreciate it if you also checked my soundcloud page ^^ thanks

I like the harmonic progression, but the rhythm seems a little random. I think this track could be done fairly well with a driving four four beat or if you wanted to keep the syncopation, go for a more drum n bass rhythm. You did a nice job with the ambience; great filter sweeps and pads. It just needs a little drive to pull the listener through it.

Thank you so much for the feedback ^_^. I was worried no one would comment on it. Originally, I wanted to produce chillstep, so that's why I created the beat with a kick on one and the clap on three (with different variants throughout of course). I do agree though, a stronger beat could improve the track.

Thanks again ^^ you made my day
