Speaking of which I found one of those old Oscilloscope synths, that I think yamaha made, and was close to buy it but I don't have an old modular keyboard bit to plug into it because it's MIDI-less

They're always a pain, especially since such keyboards are rare, and even if you do find one, they tend to go for gazillions.

I'm thinking of making one myself as I know quite a lot about electronics... But in retrospect the price for components especially the synth action for the keys

Hey my name is Lucas but people on the internet know me mostly as Luceds.
I am Austrian and speak German as first and English as second language.
I don't have a favourite genre, I just try out what I like.
I mostly use FL studio.
I've been making music for around 3 years now and I still don't know what I'm doing.

Postby ExoBassTix » 30 Mar 2013 11:15

Okay, so, why not make some other posts first and then introduce myself?
Here goes nothing (¬_¬ )

OHAI THAR MLR!
My name is Merlijn (for the English I prefer Merlin (because nobody can pronounce Merlijn without eeerrrroooorrrzzzzz). My artist name is ExoBassTix. Some people might also know me by the username GlitchHero9724 or GLiTCH.
I'm 14 years old (at the moment).
I'm from Tha Netherlands.
English is pretty much first nature to me (heck, I have more problems with my Dutch vocabulary than with my English one *o* ).
I'm a genre-hopper. With that I mean that I continuously change my totally favorite genre.
I'm pretty much addicted4life to all that's to be called Electronic music. This includes (prepare for genre list): House (though not the mainstream ones, yuck), Minimal House, Ambient House, Soulful House, (some) Electro House, Deep House, Dreamhouse, Bassline House (aka. Jackin' House), Speed Garage, Electro Swing, Trance, Epic Trance, Progressive Trance, Psy Trance, Goa Trance, Deep Trance, Dream Trance, Full On, Hard Trance, Hard Edge, Techno, Tribal Techno, Hardtechno, Schranz (Schranz is actually Hardtechno, but Hardtechno ain't necessarily Schranz), Tech Dance, Hands Up, Rave, Hardstyle, Dubstyle, Lento Violento, Jumpstyle, Hardcore, Happy Hardcore, Frenchcore, Darkcore, Speedcore, Breakcore, Terrorcore, Doomcore (this is seriously creepy shit), Trancecore, Industrial Hardcore, Oldskull, Hellektro (aka. Aggrotech), Glitch Hop, Drum 'N' Bass, Liquid Drum 'N' Bass, Neurofunk, Electro Dubstep, Grime, (some) Dubstep, Trap (why there be so much haters?), (some) Drumstep, Chillout, Chillstep (aka. Liquid Dubstep), Deathstep, Murderstep, Darkstep, (some) Crossbreed, Acid, and last but not least, Ponystep.

... List. Pretty long... Anyways, boldies are my fav genres, and the underlined ones are the ones I'm producing with (finished or not).
My DAW of choice is FL Studio 10 Pro. I also have Ableton Live 8, but I don't like it that much. Aaand I also have Mixcraft covered in dust somewhere...
I've been producing since April 21st, 2012.
I also have VirtualDJ 7 Pro. I kinda failed my first 5 DJ mixes... Because I wanna EQ like a baw5 but my mouse ain't smooth or something. So now I'm saving up money for a Reloop BeatMix.

Okay, now about the Pony stuff. I've been into MLP for ... what, three months or so? I don't know really, something like that. I've seen and downloaded all episodes from season 1-3 and have read tons (read: probably not that many) fan-fictions. I've also tried to come up with a fan-fiction myself, but it's going sloooo-moooo. Just recently I've started making Pony-related music, starting with a Speedcore remix of Silva Hound's "Hooves Up High". Oh and a Drum 'N' Bass remix of Omnivore's "Final Night; Nightmare Night".
I spent around 200 hours of my life (you're probably going to beat me at this) looking up Pony pictures on some site. I must say I particularly liked the pictures of the Tumblr page of Ask-Pinkamina-Diane-Pie (so sad that it's abandoned...).
I know how to understand most ... 'Pony memes' (not sure if that's how they should be called), I know plenty. I have no IRL friend that likes MLP (hooray ^-^ ) but they don't hate me for liking it or anything (in fact it's only entertaining for them, as it seems).

That's pretty much everything I can think up. Oh, one thing.
At times I can be a bit shy, but I'm still pretty social (in my opinion) and I love a good chat/conversation if you want one. I hope to have loads of fun here. Aaand I hope I can keep up with the post-storms.

Also, does that include Aggrotech/Hellektro/EBM (why the heck are there so many synonyms)?

Can't say that I'm a know-a-lot in this section though, I know only four performers in Hellektro (hoping they're actually Hellektro).

hellektro and aggrotech are quite similar thats true but EBM is something completely different ^^
its just through mislabeling that it's thrown into the same category as for example aggrotech.

My experience with lunatics might have helped me there :P and also me being socially strong and awkward at the same time (hey, I'm lunatic too y'know)... It's not difficult. Internet + forum + subject that attracts lots of people + lots of people^2 = lots of lunatics

Do you know FabrikC, NOISUF-X, Xotox and/or S.A.M.? If yes, are they EBM or Hellektro/Aggrotech? (Now that I think of it, you might better PM me, this is a bit off-topic for introduction thread :P )

I recommend you to just not see him at all. If you're too close to him he'll notice you however hard you run or however good you hide, and he'll strike you with his 1.3 second banhammer.

Luckily he doesn't have a chainsaw. On some other board, a Mod once chased me with a chainsaw... Damn Blu, giving it to him... I JUST DIDN'T WANT TO SLEEP AND WANTED TO HAVE SOME FUN!!!

I'm probably one of the younger ones around here, being 14. But that doesn't bother me. I salute you, and hope you have fun here on the most retarded forum in the interwebz.

Hello there and thank you :) It's great that you started creating music at such an age, and also your name reminds me of a TV Show called Merlin that I used to watch some years ago ;)

Nice to see you here. You must be very old to call your self antik (Hue Hue, its funny caus in Swedish antik means "old, valuable thing")
So, yeah. Hi!

Well, I'm around 15 and a half (15.8 to be exact, hehe).
To be honest I don't really know how I thought about this nick, created it around 2007 and still using it until today. And nice to meet you :)
