Here's the obligatory 'discuss'..

EDIT: I am of course only about slightly less than half serious, full seriousness would result in paragraphs of writing, and today's April first nothing is serious on April first.

I know its April first, it makes me sad seeing how far away from music this forum can get, even on April fools day.

One of the many reasons why I'm most likely leaving this forum...
Well I'm pretty much done with this site (it wasn't about the April Fool's joke I actually loved that). If for some reason somebody wants to contact me or something (not like any of you even care lol):

Ah, settle down guys.

Makkon and I just wanted to have a little fun for the day. Everything will be back to normal in a few hours. Is it too much to ask that the mods get to have some fun now and then?

I'd like to think my reign was short but righteous.

I think it slightly ridiculous that you would villainize the community subforum and other places where meaningless chatter takes place. Honestly, not enough people post in the technique forum to ask questions for help or something. If it weren't for subforums like this, then this site would be dead except for a handful of people. There are a few people who have a large amount of posts with most being in other subforums, mainly Freewave, ChromaticChaos and me being the top 3 posters on the site with a most active subforum other than community (although I alter between technique and community. Really depends on what's going on). Who I do think you should villainize is the people who come here and are found only in the community section, never really helping out anywhere else.

I so wonder why these threads get created. I don't like saying this (fuck it I'mma be assertive now) but get over it. It's not like it would be permanent, the few changes. And for god's sake, APRIL FOOLS IS ABOUT HAVING FUN AND GOING INSANE! The internet is full of it. No escape. You should've taken a day off :P jk guys but srsly, this isn't necessary at all.

And what are the criteria for that?
2/3rds of my posts are in the community subforum, but that also means over 1000 posts in non-community-subforum places. To be fair to myself, I do try to help out in the sharing is magic and technique subforums when I see a thread I can help on, provided it hasn't already been answered.

The criteria is right there, man. You must not be able to comprehend it very well. Here's a little check list to see if a person falls into the category of "should be villainized"

- Have you ever seen the person outside of the Community subforum here on MLR? Yes or no
- Are they most active in the spam thread, or not even very helpful when outside it? Yes or no

If you answered no for both questions about the person, then they're the type of person who should be villainized here on MLR. There are a few exceptions of course, but you get the idea.

Well, I think that puts me pretty steadily outside of that group.

Really?
