Introducing: The Brony Music Wiki!

Okay, so here goes.

Over the last few days I've been setting up a Brony Music Wiki. It's a place where you all can post bios, add albums and songs, and educate people about your music. It's basically Wikipedia for brony music.

What's the point of this? Don't we have http://bronymusic.com already?
That's a good point, but take this into account:

• That site is WordPress-based, and therefore can only be edited by the blog's editors. The advantage of a wiki is that anyone can edit it.
• It's much easier to update something when you can update it yourself rather than have to jump through hoops to get someone else to update that thing.
• The MediaWiki layout is much smoother than WordPress, and has infoboxes for sorting out information smoothly.

It's a cool idea but one thing I'm worried about is there an existing, more populated, and more popular wiki out there.

By all means you can get it to grow and eventually compete but people might want to make sure they are on there first. It is a bit more advanced a template it seems. I think I'm clueless about adding wiki's. I got an account on your site but couldn't find out out to add myself or anything. Any hints on how to create a page with a template?

By the way bronymusic.com is blogspot based not wordpress.

You don't click an "Add" button, basically just type in a page and if it doesn't exist that it just lets you add it or edit it.

There is no template, however, you can go to someone elses page, click "EDIT" and copy their page's code and paste into your own page, then edit it so that its yours.

Making your own wiki thing. I'm considering doing it, but is that particularly useful? I mean does the site get much real traffic?

I believe the idea is that the more complete we make it, the easier it will be to advertise it, and possibly submit it to places like EqD.

Looks pretty good but the layout is still abit unfinished, though I've sorted out some of the consistencies where not all of the artists' genres were in the respective category. Still, can't wait for the site to grow.

I am completely snagged up on the date collumn for some reason for my entry. I've reviewed my formatting and i don't see anything wrong with it. 2012 kicks off with Voodoopony remix and 2013 kicked off with my SGap remix. If anyone can fix that it would be greatly appreciated.
