Think you'r a bit negative about it all. Sure the main reason for making music should be the love of music, but saying fame and exposure doesn't matter is a big exaggeration imo. If you'r not recognised for what you do it's basically the same thing as being told you'r music is bad, and trust me, that is a very distracting thought to have in your head when working on a new song.
I've gotten over not being good my self yet, so I don't expect fame and fortune for my self, but it still pisses me off when great music is neglected. It's the same everywhere, a few lucky people get all the attention, but at the end of the day, they aren't much better than the rest

The rest deserve the exposure, but they don't get it. That kind of shit makes me angry, but since we can't change the world we just have to do with the tiny exposure we get.
