Kickstarter - Wolfgang A Cappella, and some magic

Hello Everybrony!

I'm from NCSU, and I perform in an A Cappella group called Wolfgang. We just got back from an international competition for A Cappella a month ago, and we're ready to kickstart our new album!

We've been around for several years now and have released several albums, however, all of our past albums have been recorded and edited by us, the members; we've been releasing albums to the general public recorded and edited by people without proper equipment or skillsets.

We're done doing that.

We decided to go balls out for this album, getting a professional A Cappella specialized production company, The Vocal Company, to help us with our album and, let me tell you, it's gonna be HOT!

Now, I'm not just bringing this all up for a shameless plug, I'm bringing it up because I had an idea.

You'll notice that the reward for a $500 dollar donation is a commission for any song to be sung to you guys at a private concert. I was thinking if we could pool enough money together, we could donate 500 dollars a single "person" and get this commission! Granted, it'll be a bit difficult to put on a private concert for numerous people all over the world, but I'm thinking maybe instead we could put together a music video. I have the resources to put together a well done recording, and am actually working on a solo a capella rendition of Awoken (h8_Seed, Woodentoaster).

If you guys are interested, let's get some discussion going down below, and if it looks like we can make it, we can figure out how exactly we're going to set up the "private concert" and which song we can do.

I think this would be a ton of fun and a really unique experience for the brony community to have a group of this size make an A Cappella song of your choosing. I hope you guys are interested!

Hm, sounds interesting. If I had money, I might donate a bit but unfortunately, I don't have enough money. Best of luck to you in this cause, and thanks for properly including all the information you can! There are some people here who create events without including much information and their events flop like fish, lol

Also, this could probably be moved to the "Challenges and Events" subcategory, but it's fine since you're a newcomer. Have you been promoting this event other places as well? Just promoting this here won't get much attention

I haven't been, I don't really know anywhere else to go, I just assumed the musical community would have the most vested interest in it.

Also, on not having enough money: You know if we can get 100 people to donate 5 bucks, we've got it! XD

Where else would you suggest within the community (our outside community promotion is fairly strong)

Hm, you can see about getting promoted on Equestria Daily, promote yourself on /r/mylittlepony, make some memes to submit to memebase (I can submit them if you want, seeing as I have close to 1800 friends on memebase, lol), or go around to some of the other various brony websites.

I talked to EQD about it, and they rejected the post because we're such a small group doing a kickstarter :C

I'll see what I can do about some other sites.

I'll see about spreading this around my facebook and such. The best thing for a kickstarter is exposure. I suggest anyone who can't donate money help our friend out by doing the same (:
