Working on my WIP for Rainbow & Rooted, and a track I'm working on with Glaze (which I won't post just yet due to a later version needing to be uploaded.)

Ya know, I've never actually even attempted to remix anything.
I should get around to that sometime in the next month.

Though I should also finish anything I've ever started.
That'd be neato.

I'm in the concept stages of a track with some vocalists, I have 2 friends helping me to write the lyrics and I'll need a female vocalist. Also me and my friends have been working on a web comic for a while and we're trying to solidify our story arcs presently.

Getting my head around Sony Vegas so that I can make music videos that are more than just a picture with words on it. I'm planning something for a Rainbow and Rooted Video

Vegas is definitely a sexy program once you get it down.

Finished laying down the structure for a song completely with some basic melodies and chord progressions, just need to fix the melodies and progressions to some extent, do some more basic mixing, maybe fix the sound design a little should I need to, add in some instruments for some other filling that I need to do, and then complete the final mix, and I'm good to go.

After finally finishing the vocals for my submission for R&R, I've decided that I don't like the song with vocals. : P

Still working on the video.

I'm trying to do a non-dance composition for my GCSEs. I think I just might have succeeded with the experimental piece below (it has to clearly have an influence with stuff in the classical direction), but I'm still pretty sceptical. Its inspired quite a bit from Panzer Dragoon's OST and a particular Church Anthem which I based this around.

I've taken a bit of music and am now working on my report for my science fair project, so I won't be posting here as much (though knowing myself, my amount of posts on tumblr per day is probably about to double because I suck at procrastinating)

Today is the time for me to record some guitar to the prog rock song I'm working with. The one I will submit for RR. This is gonna be tons of work for me to do in Ableton to get the different guitar layers balanced. After having done recording guitar, I will start on bass and drums. I am so lucky that I have a fairly expensive electronic drum kit. Roland TD-30KV. I've been playing drums for about 15 years and think I'm pretty good at it. Much of my inspiration comes from the old drummer of Dream Theater, "Mike Portnoy" and drummer of Meshuggah "Tomas Haake." When I finish recording drums. Bass and synths is next step. Then I can arrange the sound in Ableton and then go through the song in Ozone 5.

This is going to be a long day / night.

Further progress on my senior project! The first half is titled "Endgame" (0:00-3:05). The second half is titled "The Road Ahead" (3:09-end). I have a long way to go, in terms of both composition and mixing, but this gives you a good idea of both pieces:

One of my main influences! He and Orchestral_Design had a pretty big impact on this piece, and then I added my own flavors as well.

I started a dark ambient song a while ago, inspired mostly by Jeff Greinke and SleepResearch_Facility, which I think is going pretty well, even though I haven't worked on it in a while.
Other than that, I've almost exclusively been doing musique concrète. I finished an EP a while ago that fused it with harsh noise, and I just started a project that fuses both of those with glitchcore, which is turning out to sound a lot like Maxi Bacon.
And I made a bit of hard style a couple days ago, just so I could resample and manipulate it for the project mentioned above.
I always enjoy doing something until I have to.
Good thing I'm supposed to be doing stuff other than music.

Rainbow Factory house remix. Why? Because I fucking want to, that's why. :3

Oh yeah, and some other house stuff. House everywhere, actually. Noise house, prog house, electro house, all dat.
