We can't really hand you a cheat sheet for what to look out for in music 'cause that's like the prereaders handing us a cheat sheet for what to look out for in fanfiction. There are just so many grey areas that we've brought up these past couple hours alone that I really don't think that getting a good quality filter is possible just on your own without spending a needlessly large amount of time actively listening to every song sent in.

And how would you define kinds? New kinds of music come up all the time, for me. We have had only four or five people chime in to look at new music, so far.

Should we appoint a committee to talk about this stuff? or am I just over complicating it? xD

bartekko wrote:Circuitfry wrote:And how would you define kinds?
Ahem: Pop, Rock, Orchestral, Techno, Dubstep, while crossing over pop+rock=pop, orchestral + rock=rock, orchestral+techno= techno, dubstep+anything=dubstep
<trollface for separating dubstep and techno>
Calamus_Dash wrote:JackleApp wrote:stuff
the only problem I can see with this would be if people just wrote un-pony related songs and then bullshitted an essay about how it's pony related.
Although, now that I've said that, if you can write an essay about how your song is pony-related, it basically IS
