So it looks like there is some progress being made, seemingly snail steps but there is at least some progress to recognize bronies as an audience. So possibly in a few year they will start digging that gold mine right under them.
It's really just the curse of big corporations takes a long time to shift around the marked. No one at Hasbro have any incentive to risk anything. As long as Hasbro keeps growing their investors is happy, the bosses get their oversized pay. Even if someone high in the ranks of Hasbro proposes a change, the idea gets shut down even before consideration. And if by a miracle don't it usually gets stripped to the bone done the line.
Now for fans overseas like me, well the entire television industry has dug a freaking huge grave which consists of licensing of broadcasting rights. Hasbro USA can only broadcast to the USA, and the ones that buy licensing is entirely independent to choose whenever they want to make it available online. (To make it worse, even if it's available online it's both dubbed and 2 seasons late)
So fact is even if they have a chance to grow and become much bigger, safety trumps potential.
