Burn it Down (Element6 Remix)

Original is by Linkin Park, and credit is due.

I made this one for my best friend and my girlfriend who are both into Linkin Park. Personally, I don't care much for the band, but I definitely respect their talent.

I'm rather proud of this one.
That said, I still don't know basically anything having to do with mastering --wat is an compreshun?-- but I tried.

It was also my first time using Massive. Milestones, yay.

Thanks for reading/listening. c:

Personally, I'm a huge fan of Linkin Park, and this remix is pretty good.

Positives: Loving the glitched vocals during the drop. A lot of the sounds you used are really interesting, and you have a good sense of what fits. You did a pretty good job with the melody, and all the sound effects sound good where they are. The build up is pretty effective, and gets some good tension, the drop isn't exactly heavy, but it's still very much enjoyable.

Negatives: It sounds like there's a bit too much reverb on that bell synth, it kind of bleeds into itself, so just turn that down a bit. The instrumentals overwhelm the vocals just a tad at times, not a huge deal. The percussion could be a bit more interesting in some places, try adding some more rides or hats in there during more intense moments.

Overall: I'd say it does the original justice. It's definitely a pretty good remix, 7.9/10.

Also, definitely learn how to master, it will help you a ton.

Darn, this is one of those instances in which I don't notice something is wrong until it's too late. It's so obvious now.

Thanks for the great feedback!
And yeah, I need to stop putting off learning how to master. I won't be able to escape it once I reach college later this year, but for now, I really need to get some basics down at least.

I'm certainly glad you think it's pretty good; hearing that from a Linkin Park fan means I did something right. ^^
