Pretty much impossible to do on any guitar that isn't equipped with a floyd rose, since the bridge itself needs to vibrate.

I see. Never heard of that before. I only have a vintage tremolo (seriously, why do they still make these?) so i can't do that i suppose.

Because vintage tremolos require minimal maintenance, and with a floyd rose, maintenance is a bitch. xD

AHHH!!!! I TOOK THIRD /)^3^(\ I WAS TOTALLY EXPECTING AT THE HIGHEST SIXTH!!!!!!!

Things I learned:
I play with not-so-great tone. (which I already sort of knew)
I scoop EVERYTHING. What can I say, old habits die hard. I've been fighting that one forever...
I need to work on playing in higher registers in tune.
I should practice a lot more. :3 (that's always true though)

I'm actually curious of how long you've been playing. You actually improvise pretty well considering how far along you are in your playing.

I've been playing for a few years (like... 4? ish). But I'm really rusty. I haven't soloed in forever. Except this year, I started up jazz band in school again, and that's where I've learned to improvise (and from years before when I took jazz band). And I just have some really bad habits from when I was learning that I've been trying to break, so if you have any tips, let me know :P

EDIT:
I'm starting up some private lessons on the sax Feb. 7th!!!! :3 so, expect me to do some serious getting better in the next however long!!!

That's awesome dude. I guess all I can really say is work on your fundamentals before you add the flair. Your basic tone, your basic technical precision and things like that are what you should have down first. After that, go ahead and think about adding embellishments. Acceptable jazz tone is pretty flexible, it's more about support of sound than anything.

Good job again to all participants. Sorry for being so light on the commentary, I was trying to be pretty general.

It was super fun! I never get a chance to solo in weirdish scales! I learned a ton too!
