Hi,

my RL name is Nils, i'm from Germany and i speak German (first) and English (second).
Last week I finally brought myself to release something under the name "FlutterYay", which - to my amazement - wasn't already taken by a brony musician.

I have no professional background in music, and i can play no instrument (properly), but i own a guitar, an accordeon and a very handy MIDI keyboard.
Also i have some history on and around stages of all kinds and from that i have some decent studio equipment lying around which i can now put to use.

I expect my main genre to be housy electronica, but i'm also open to experiments!

Here are some links to my profiles and released stuff (which is not very much to date, but there will be more):
http://soundcloud.com/flutteryay/

edit: And yes, i know the avatar picture is bad. I will replace it asap, but that's the best i have right now :D

Hi Nils, nice to meet you! :D
I just joined today too! My name is topit (not really, that's my cat's name.) Usually I make but I am going to start creating music. I can play the piano and (somewhat) the ukulele and have absolutely no experience in electronic music! Needless to say, I would like to learn what I can about the genre so I can incorporate it into my own work.
My favorite bands are Sigur Ros, Queen, and The Mouldy Peaches, but I also like MGMT, Coldplay, Passion Pit, and Yeasayer.
My favorite brony musician is Scarlett Peace and AcousticBrony. Eurobeat Brony and Bagpipe Brony are great too (as well as the more famous ones like Tomb and Mando)
My favorite pony is Fluttershy. I think that goes without saying.
I am very glad to be here in this community and I hope that it will help me become a more versatile musician.
:3

Well, okay, here goes.

Hello, everyone! I'm Brick Stonewood. I can't exactly call myself a musician yet, but I've recorded a few terrible noises in FLStudio in the past week or so, and I've been lurking around here. Basically, I've got a whole lot of lyrics sitting around, and I need to get good enough at making music in some regard so I can make them sound the way they do in my head, so I came here to learn what I can, and maybe meet a few more people who can help. I don't have a Soundcloud yet because I can't really consider the crap I've got worthy of the internet just yet, but I'm having a lot of fun figuring everything out so far, and after a while, I'm sure the rest will fall into place. My Skype name is brick.stonewood and I'm planning to give you a reason to care what my Skype name is at some point in the future. I'm very pleased to meet you all.

Howdy, Brick Stonewood! Welcome to the forums man. I think a lot of us can definitely relate to wanting to improve ourselves so we can actually do justice to the sounds or songs we have in our heads.. Just about everyone here is always striving the improve their skills in music production, so I think you'll fit right in.
And of course feel free to ask if you ever have any questions about anything (although probably best to search around a bit first to see if your questions haven't already been addressed somewhere the forums.).

So again, welcome to the forums!

I decided, that since it is my birthday, it is time to introduce myself.
I am Jaeden, I go by many names, ranging from house paint, sandy, sandstorm, or really whatever catches on with other people. I am now 16. (gonna go crash some cars bitchezz :P)
I make all music that is electronic.
I like torrents, if it wasn't for them, I'd probably be playing Mario Kart Wii right now.
I use a computer that has about 1 gig of ram from around 2002 for everything, I also use Massive for everything I make.
I draw a lot. like... whenever I have a piece of paper in front of me, there is usually a pony on it in the first few minutes.
I occasionally try to write something on Fimfiction (everything I have ever done on there is a horrid abomination)

The best pony is Sweetie Belle... or Twilight Sparkle.

The best relationship I have ever had was with a Tacobell taco.
Can I stupid?

Hi there !
I'm UCDP, a french brony musician. I speak french and english, and I play the drums.

I listen and appreciate a lot of different type of music, and even though I'm more into progressive metal than anything else, I appreciate a lot every MLP music.
I recently got FL Studio and I'm trying to begin composing stuff on it.
I made some compositions on guitar pro 5 and 6, and I recently transcribed the instrumentals of raise this barn and babs seed on gp6 (they are on my youtube channel, I'm gonne post it here).

I'm working on a brony song on gp6 at the moment, may be the one I'm the most proud of yet... still have to finish it, though. I made one in 2012, but I screwed up the singing (it's quite frustrating, as I still like the instrumental a lot).

I make mostly instrumental music, because I'm not good at writting lyrics.

Anyway, here is my youtube channel. You can find on it : covers, compositions... a remix of raise this barn (my first remix ever... I messed up the mixing, but I'll someday try to fix it.), and... that's it ! :)

I have been making music for half a year now, and I still suck. But I love making music, and I listen to music as much as I can. I'm constantly trying to become better, even if its just by messing around in FL.

Here is a song I made a couple of weeks ago: (Be warned: You may get cancer. Oh, and demo synths.)

Never really got a chance to introduce myself on here. Names KingTrollestia and, well here's a little bit about me just to fill you in

-I'm pretty much new to making music in general, the whole Brony community actually inspired me to actually get involved in making it
-I'm a huge fan of Dubstep, Ambient, EDM, and Glitch music along with Rock and Synthpop influences
-Several of my inspirations are David Bowie, Gary Numan, Deadmau5, Pet Shop Boys, Lou Reed, Rush, and Alex S amongst all the other Brony musicians out there
-I'm in college right now studying to be an Audio Engineer, so yes I am taking this music thing very seriously as I plan to make it into a career for myself
-I'm a pretty chill guy to talk to and i'm always interested in learning new things about music and ponies and all that crap
DAW: Logic Pro 9

Studying to become an Audio Engineer, amongst making kick ass music

Hi, I'm Pix31.

I love everything EDM, even when I don't. So adding ponies onto it is just syrup on-top of a perfectly good cake. I've been making music off and on, changing genre's all the way for the past four years or so. Though I'm hoping to ground myself in and actually work towards an album. I've used FL Studio for most of my musical life but I'm now looking into Renoise since its more useful for Breakcore with Chiptune elements/J-Core, my genre of the hour; plus I love a good challenge.

I'm really looking forward to meeting other musicians on here.
DAW: Renoise / FL Studio for Mastering
Genre: Nu Style, J-Core and UK Hardcore

Alright, hello errybody, welcome to MLR, all that.

I just want to tell all you newbies something:
READ THE GODDAMN POST DATES ON THREADS

Seriously, nobody likes it when a new user resurrects a two+ month old thread. MLR isn't a massive forum; I'd say you can reply to the first, maybe second pages of threads without having to worry about necroing.

One more thing:
Don't ask for acapellas of the show. Just don't. Look through some stickied threads before considering posting.

Finally, more important thing:
Iceberg and Stars are gods. Learn their names and fear them, for they control all here. Lavender and Nav are amongst the minor deities, respect them as well for (I believe) they also wield the mighty banhammer.

Well Hi everybody/everypony! I go by Jomar and this fandom has really inspired me pursue my passion of music production. It's really inspiring to see all this talent everywhere. So far I've only made 1 pony mix I'm proud of.

https://soundcloud.com/cyanlights/king-sombra-the-crystal-empire

I do know now that it's not mastered or mixed well but I'll remix it after I get some new stuff out!

Some facts about me :
-Instruments I play : Piano, guitar, uke, accordion
-Favorite Pony : Rarity, Luna at a close 2nd
-I grew up listening to pop-rock, alternative, r&b, and all that so EDM is quite different for me. But I love trying out new things. I guess I try to blend it all when I'm composing.

Hope to see you all around!

Hey, kids! I'm quite confident that I'm the weirdest person you'll meet around here...even though it's a pony music forum.
Is that in some vulgar way?
No, by all means - let's not be unreasonable.
Retarded embarrassing screamo songs and amateur dubstep swing are just begging to be made...although I might have to wait on the screamo until I get a basement. Wouldn't want to scream about ponies in my apartment.
- I'm the great and powerful sound scientist! *fireworks*

- Trixie and Dash are obviously in the ninja assassin order. [Twilight too, right?] Nah, she's just a fan of the order.

Well I might as well say hi.
Hi!
My name is Jordan. Online however, I go by 2 names: "Cpl. Bradley" and "Thermite."
The name Cpl. Bradley is the name I use for all my pony related and for-fun music, while Thermite is the name I use for my professional works, and it's also my DJ name.

I'm 17 years old, and live in a small town in Minnesota. I'm a junior in high school.
I love making music of all types. Granted, I mostly release electronic music, but I really do make almost everything, whether I release it or not.

I've been making music since 6th grade, when my dad put a computer in our basement to use as a recording studio (Nearly 6 years ago). I started with Pro Tools, but was never able to fully figure out how to use it (I do now of course, just not back then.) My older brother introduced me to FL Studio about a year later, and I became hooked. I've been using it ever since. I used to make only Hands-up and Trance, but in 2009 I started becoming interested in Dubstep and House, and started producing that.

When I'm not making music, I like to chill with my friends (who also are bronies because of me), go snowboarding in the winter, longboarding in the spring summer and fall. I also love to throw rave parties in my basement (Achievable thanks to the 4400 watt sound system my dad bought for my birthday) in which I DJ for real. None of that kiddy laptop and mouse crap. I have a very strong love for cars, especially fast ones. But not trucks. I hate trucks. I'm also what you would call a "Marijuana Enthusiast and Connoisseur."
*cough cough*
*Ahem*
I also love making movies and 3D animations. I'm skilled with Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, 3DS Max, etc. Pretty much all the movie making essentials, I'm skilled with them. I love making movies with my friends. Loads of fun.

I've been a brony since october of 2011
Rarity is best of mane 6
Vinyl scratch and Spitfire are best ponies.
