Okay, so this first track is twelve minutes of prog-rock and other stuff, so it's immediately not everypony's cup-of-Earl-Grey-tea. It's also not the most easily-likeable Mars Volta track out there, but it's currently my favourite after listening to it properly lately (I used to skip it before due to length). There are just so many hooks in this song if you have the patience to listen to it.

This is awesome and creative and it makes me obscenely jealous. And it also makes me want to play the game. Really bad.

It's the level-up themes for all the different characters in Mother 4, probably one of the most astounding-looking fangames I've ever seen. They're written so that they can be played together when different characters level-up, and it's extremely awesome.



We need a Pony/Mother style game somehow.

...Of course, as time goes on, the chances of any given item you can imagine actually being created by this fandom approaches one.

A friend tipped me on this album which has some of the greatest video game music performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. I listened to a few of the samples and immediately bought it. So worth it!

Sweet, this thread is back.
So I just recently finished playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution and its DLC. I'm a big fan of the first Deus Ex, they both are great games and very thought provoking. The music on this one though, is one of the best video game soundtracks I've ever heard. Seriously, look at this trailer (get some headphones and HD load for maximum awesomeness):

Back in 2009, this was THE song of my dreams. Granted it's a rework of the original by the same guys (Eiffel 65), but IMO this version is much better:
