Hey guys!
I'm Cyril or univertaz on the internet. I played guitar for some years, but a little ago I got addicted to electronic music and wanted to make some on my own. Still didn't make any records, that I could publish, but working hard on it. Hope to get some experience and knowledge on music creation here.

Welcome! You should definitely try to combine guitar playing ability with electronic music and make something really cool and unique. Good luck with learning more stuff; I hope that MLR can help you out with all sorts of things. c:

Not good at introductions, but hello all!
I'm Landon, and I first realized I was interested in making music about a year ago, after a DJ performed at a convention that I happened to be attending. It wasn't until about a month ago that I was actually able to get the software for it, though. I've been reading up and studying ever since, though at times I've been bogged down by my schoolwork, as well as other things.
Looking to learn pretty much anything and everything I can about production and music, I suppose, especially if it happens to be electronic music.
Facts:
- I am sixteen and have two brothers who used to play music - one played the viola and the other the saxophone. I am the only brother of the three that cannot read music.
- I use FL Studio 10, but am looking into learning to use other DAWs as well.
- It's difficult for me to categorize music into different genres, but I can recognize some elements from each. Not well, though.
- The one genre I can probably point out at any given time is DnB.
- I love glitch-y sounds, woo.

Posting this again, because I were blind and missed the topic at first glance...

I'm new here, and I thought I'd introduce myself. My online alias is SliZe and I'm from Norway. Also worth noting is that I love music and ponies. I love to make music in my spare time, and hang out in #EverfreeRadio over on irc.canternet.org for the most part (Is there a IRC channel for My Little Remix by the way?).

Here is my SoundCloud if anyone wondered
DAW: FL Studio
Genre(s): Prog House, Dubstep, everything else

Hello all, my name is Jacob, but you can call me DJ Ango (I know actually putting DJ in your name is probably a tad passe, but its for the sake of a movie pun). I just recently started making electronic music (though I don't make remixes, I still figured this would be a cool place to join) and with that being said, I don't think I'm all that good at it yet, but I am progressing as I go, haha. I figured joining a forum with other people with such an affinity for music would probably help with that and be a lot of fun.

I hope I get to know you all fairly well, haha.

Referencing Django Unchained in your name. You must have just started.

Actually, its referencing the Spaghetti Western "Django" which is what Tarantino is paying homage to by naming his character Django in his new movie. I've been using the name for about two years (anytime my brothers and I make a rap beat, we credit it under DJ Ango, but I've just recently started making whole songs and putting them out under the moniker).

Welcome! Do you have a Soundcloud? If you do, it'd be great to show us it!

But seriously? Django? It might be time for a name change.

Hello hello. I'm Lying Pink, but you can call me... anything you want really, as long as I can tell from the context that you're talking to me. Been writing music for like 11 years in a range of styles but I'm pretty new to music production and DAWs and things (mostly just did MIDI stuff until around 6 months ago, with occasional forays into orchestration for real musicians, which was hella fun; also scary). Also I play the alto sax.
Kind of fell into Toastbeard somehow and ended up here... via there... if that makes sense.
I'm guessing my main musicky priorities for the near future are to find some footing genre-wise (I like flitting around different styles, as you'll tell if you look at my Soundcloud, but it'd be nice to have a home turf or two, sound-wise) and improving my production skills. Looking forward to participatin' in the comyoonity, at any rate.

Hey there! Nice to see so many new people recently!

Just remember that there's no need to worry about genres if you don't want to. Just keep making music and you'll develop a unique "style" eventually. :)
