dam i wish i had a subwoofer. cause it sounds like there is some deep bass in there. :D

but it sounds mighty fine! i haven't heard the original song before but im pretty sure it didn't have the drums n bass. so thats what im focusing on, no?

well the kicks and snare and percussion sound good. they ain't too loud. they back up the vocals which is cool. they ain't all up in yo face. i think it sounds solid!

Take my advice with a grain of salt as i too am learning how this music stuff works

I really love this song, the lyrics are beautiful and slightly glitchy which I like :D

I'm not so much a fan of claps being used as the snare in Drum and Bass, layering a snappy snare with the clap can help it drive the track along better.

Also I feel like the part where it turns to half-step at 1:34 could have had some more done to it. Maybe a down lifter into the half-step and then an up riser back to the normal drum and bass.

All in all though very great remix, I loved this song as a kid, and hearing it now as Drum and Bass is making me want to play some Kingdom Hearts

Most of what I would have said about the production has already been touched on, so my advice is more artistic and, as such, feel free to disregard.

This song feels like it could benefit from some light riffage in the bass line. Also some more top end on the bass and maybe slightly dirtier.

Do you have the vocals on their own? It could be cool to have them fade in in the intro, then have the rest of the intro tracks LPF sweep in. (or not, hard to tell without hearing it).

I actually quite like the abrupt transition to the 1/2 sections, but felt they went too long. I would have them 1/4 as long and made the transition back to regular speed just as abrupt.

Overall I did really enjoy this, I'll be downloading as soon as I turn on my main computer. If you do update it make sure to let us know.

Hmm...I like this but this remix sounds pretty basic. This was my issue when I remixed a song for the first time (Winter Wrap Up) so I had to ask myself this question, "Am I making this remix or is the song telling me what to make?"
The arrangement/flow is the similar to the original (its actually the same but since the intro is different, can't technically say its the same). The glitchy vocals is a nice touch but sadly can't help it all too much. It also just sounds like you added percussion, sub bass and called it a day. There are some decent acapellas out there so you could be more creative than just EQing the low ends of the song so that's probably what was blocking you from going somewhere with this.

Overall, this just felt like a faster/glitcher version of Hikari and doesn't really sound like its your remix. Your remix should be a mixture of your style of original songs mixing with another's song (or vocals in this case). My advice is to try this one again. Sorry for sounding like a douchebag but it frustrates me hearing a remix that sounds too much like the original and not something your style. Don't be afraid, just go for it. We know/love the original, lets hear what your style is lol.

You see the thing is I pretty much did just that. lol I don't even really know if I want to call this a remix, it's more of an edit. I wasn't really trying too hard to let my own style show through in this track, It was more of just a test. Anyways thanks for the advise I'll definitely try to be a bit more creative with my next remix.
