I think I might rerecord some of the vocals, but the main problem I have is getting loud without limiting the dynamic range. I've used a limiter on the master, but it's hurting the sound a bit, so if anyone has any neat tips for that, I'd be very happy!

I don't see a lot of love on these boards for this style of song, but I enjoyed it. It reminded me of Rise Against.

If you're not happy with a limiter try using a multiband compressor. What DAW are you using? Ableton's included one works well for me.

Is there just the one of you? Duo? Full band? If you're interested in a Collab, I'd love to do vocals on a track.

ok i dont listen to a lot of music with any sort of electric guitar with an amp and distortion or what ever it's called but this sounds really good! i think maybe the vocals could be a bit quieter. and maybe give the drums more head room but then again i have never touched an electric guitar before so i could be wrong when it comes to this type of music.

all in all, very nice! :D

I'm loving this track. Downloading it.

That bit at the end with the overlapping vocals was great. Wicked harmonies all throughout. Plus the lyrics overall were solid. Some notes were missed here and there though, but it's not that big of a deal for this kinda music anyway. What really matters are those chords. and they are on point. Drums are kinda repetitive imo, for the most part it's that same simple as heck beat with similar-sounding breaks at intervals. Still, last minute of the song is the best all things considered. Leaves a good taste in the mouth, y'know?

Me: Hard pop-punk? What th...whatever, I'll just take a listen to this.
-2 minutes later-
Me: HOLY FUCK THIS SONG IS SO GREAT! OMG I JUST FEEL LIKE SINGING AND I CAN'T SING ITS SO FUCKING AWESOME HAKDSFJAINGOVAVNAOISDEFRNAEWOIN!
-ahem-

This track is good, man.......A SOLO AND NOT A BRIDGE?!?!?! I love so much about this song you just don't know. Yeah there's some things like the drums being too repetitive but honestly that's what I generally hear in the genre (sorry to offend I mostly listen to EDM).
I just have a question to ask: In the beginning, how do you make that distortion feedback sound? I've been trying to find out how to do that but no one's answered me on that and I forgot to ask my teacher before quitting classes.

Either way, I guess maybe...I don't know...remove the wip tag and call it done? Sorry I'm not so constructive on this but this just sounds like pure gold! Or platinum really...

Thanks for the advice, guys! Gonna rerecord the vocals soon, and I've tried to mix things up with the drums, but I might just change that again, as I fear I made it sound a bit too messy this way!

It's the secret Kirusigami Blood-Boiler-Bobcat technique that is only thaught in the mountains of Shinjirukogesukadesudesu.

Alternatively, you turn up the volume on you amp to a reasonably high level with distortion, and hold your guitar close to the amp with the pickups facing it! :P

AAAAA Didn't see this until now for some reason! I tried using the MDA limiter, and that seemed to work better than both Ableton's built-in one, and another one that I downloaded for free. And Restrained Madness is just me! I'd love to do a collab at one point, but I'm quite busy at the moment, so that'd have to be around late January, early February! ^^'

Ooo, good punk (Just a note: While hard pop-punk=/melodic hardcore, this would probably count as melo hardcore). I wish I had been in town when this was first posted. First likes:

1) Punk!
2) The Feedback in the beginning. That sweet feedback.
3) The solo (I'm not even a fan of solos).

Suggestions:
1) More distortion, feedback and yelling/screaming. I don't care if they don't fit the genre all that well because every song needs more of these.
2) If you are stilling having trouble with the drums go full on D-beat. It's so traditional that it won't matter (at least to me) how repetitive/simple it is.
3) No need to rerecord the vocals. They sound fine to me.

Once again, it's nice to see harder styles of punk finally entering the fandom.

This is pretty sweet sounding, nice and strong. I think the vocals are a little unassertive though (lyrics are fine, it's just the way they're sung). So hopefully you'll get that better in a rerecord :D

And I don't mind the way the drums are right now. Also, the ending of the song (last minute) is very good to me, with the solo and the vocal layering :D

Alright, rerecorded the vocals, fiddled with the levels, and added ambient instruments. Any opinions on this rendition? :P
