Oh this is a snow duel alright! Just makes you want to get up and fight someone. Anyway, here's my opinion. I'm not an expert on making it so I'll assume the mixing/effects is alright (cause they sound fine to me) but this is too straight forward. Right now, it sounds like video game music; one constant loop.
On 1:20, it felt like it was building up to something that'll change the lead melody, but it just went back to what it was before. At :30, that's a perfect change in pace.
Think fighting:
0:00 - They are slowly approaching each other
0:16 - They begin fighting each other but more along the lines of 'testing each other', see whom may be stronger
0:30 - "Huh...you're stronger than I imagined, Shining Armour"
"I'm not somecolt to take lightly, Sombra!"
"Very well..."
0:49 - Fight resumes at an even tug of war
1:20 - Sombra is starting to win the tug of war. Shinning staggers a bit but gets back up.
"Sombra, I told you I'm somecolt not to be taken lightly!" Shinning prepares to do an ultimate attack and it works.
?:?? - He believes he's at least held him off for a while and turns to join with the other ponies.
?:?? - "The same could be said for me, wouldn't you agree, Shinning?" Sombra returns and catches him off guard.
?:?? - Shinning recovers and has a projectile tug-of-war with him.
?:?? (song ends) - Shinning, before being taken over by Sombra, jumps into Cadence's barrier but not after being silenced so he cannot cast any spells.
Sounds a bit weird but this is pretty much how I've gotten through my chamber orchestra group for 5 years lol. You've probably already finished it but if not hopefully my rough picture of the duel can help you get a general feeling for how you should arrange it.
