I would try to stay away from anything that references a specific thing (bass) cause then if you ever don't use a bass people will be like 'lolwut'
that being said, my name is only calamus dash because when I started posting on ponychan, I wanted to use a trip that referenced my ambition to write fanfics (which is still there, just making music is more fun imo), so I just changed 'pen' into latin, then added dash at the end because rainbow dash fucking rocks.
