New Low Album announced!

So anyone else excited for the new Low album, The Invisible Way?



I really hope it is a return to their older, slowcore sound (I still love C'mon though). While this probably won't be the case (considering 1] how fast, upbeat and happy sounding the teaser is; 2] It's being produced by that guy from Wilco, in the Wilco Studio; 3] Low is releasing a live EP with that guy from Death Cab for Cutie) it still should be a great album.

Can't say we really have ever talked about non-pony musicians directly in a thread in this subforum before. Then again it would be kind of cool if there was a subforum to highlight such artists as it may bring out more open MUSIC discussion (as brony music is only a sliver of that).

Have no opinion on your topic tbh as I haven't really gotten into slowcore or Low that much tbh.

This really annoys me. I wish people were both more direct and actually willing to discuss artists. We are a music forum and discussing artists, not just songs, is a part of that. Unfortunately I don't think a new subforum would solve the issue, since it will probably just be annoyed, but it would be an interesting experiment.

No problem. They're both pretty niche but it's always worth a trying to see if anyone else it familiar with them.

Yeah didn't mean to derail your thread so apologies on that and i completely agree that we should have a general music disccussion for non-pony bands or albums. I've proposed such a subforum here as hopefully we can have more threads like this that have a real place for them on mlr.

Well that's a fine opinion but I've already outlined there really isn't a CLEAR place for such discussions (and that's why i communicated that need to both Makkon and Jeff). If they want to add MUSIC Disscussion in the text of the existing Community description (Sports, politics, movies, videogames, questionable hobbies, photos from your family vacation) that could work too as i think people don't think such discussions SHOULD go here as there's no mention of music in that description. This is a music forum and the Community desciption appears to be designed for non-music off-topic discussion. Again I'd LOVE to see some more general music discussion that's not tied into technique and that's not currently happening likely DUE to this confusion.
