So what did you guys think about his mention on bronies? Particularly "that" side of the fandom.

My one complaint would have to be that I'm a bit offended he used raw clop as imagery. Mostly because I don't clop. And, I do in fact care somewhat about how bronies are viewed, so it's sorta putting us in a bad light, which bugs me. Pic related, lol.

Well, celebrities generally have a larger influence on modern society, whether they say something as a joke or not. If you look at the comments of the video, there's plenty of butthurt to go around, as well as haters claiming that all bronies clop. So, yes. People do care about what Tosh says. Not everybody, though.

It's one of the reasons why the military brony community is as tight knit as it is. Just the fact we serve in the military and watch a girly TV show in our off-time is enough to make the presses jump on us, so we've actually banded together as a pseudo-military organization, with a Chain of Command and everything, just to make sure we're always setting the best example.

I do agree, it's all I see mostly, bad press, I mean we hear some good reviews about bronies, but as you stated, nothing about all the charity work, as well as inspiration sprung from our community.

But then again, in the world of media, bad press is more attainable, as well as it's more heard of, whereas all the good deeds we do go unheard.

I kind of think it's hilarious, and that Tosh.0 has crude but funny humor.

Like seriously guys, if you were to say our fanbase is completely normal you'd have a huge lie.

In my opinion there are 3 stages to the MLP fandom - the casual watcher - where I would group myself - includes just enjoying the cartoon and participating in minimal fandom events. There is the Brony, which is the more engaged viewer that participates in fandom events such as fanfictions and Brony music. Lastly there is the Clopper part of the fanbase, where people are sexually enthralled with the cartoon. I can't say there is anything wrong with those sorts of mindsets... people will like what they will.

Unfortunately for the fanbase, cloppers are generally regarded as "unsavory" to say the least. Fandoms are judged on their worst and weirdest, and for the MLP fandom it happens to be cloppers. While I know that humans will sexualize basically anything, and that it is completely normal to do so, people can't help but laugh at those who enjoy the more adult side of this fanbase. And I can't blame them either... it would seem pretty fucking weird, eh?

So just move on and understand, stop giving Tosh flak if you hate him (he just gets more views) and learn to laugh at yourself. We're weird.

Saw it on youtube, wasnt to impressed. He just said "An entire subredit dedicated to guys getting of to MLP" and then the pictures. Was expecting him to crack a better joke about it, idk, maby something about interracial relationships? That could have been funny.
