The inspiration for this song was from Fluttershy's own personal journey in 'Hurricane Fluttery'. I wanted to capture that initial 'high' she had during the training and test flights and then the buildup to where she saves everypony (she is best pony)!


Obviously watch in HD, cause, you know, its just way better.

Pretty good. The melody is alright, not extraordinary, but alright (in my opinion, of course).

My main gripe is the transition from the despondent section to the last happier section. It's not bad, but it may have sounded better if you just transitioned right into it instead of having it build again. It built and built and I was ready for a sweet "drop" sort of thing, but it just dropped into another build. A bit anticlimactic, I guess.

Oh, and the off-beat perc (can't tell if it's a clap or snare) is a bit too quiet, but that's more of a personal taste thing.

Other than that, nice job.

Your main gripe, the drop, was the hardest part of the track to complete. I could not find the right way to transition from the breakdown to the main sections and I tried a few variations including what you said here (a friend of mine also suggested the idea of just 'droping' it back in). The problem I had with droping it in was there was a very extreme contrast between the feelings of the breakdown and the main section that simply switching instantly did not sound right (my opinion), I needed more of a fade between the two. Its experimental music and its meant to take you on an adventure where as most music of its kind is predictable (which is why I would imagine you wanting a drop right there).

The off beat thing is the clap/snare being played off beat, its quiet yes but there also a lot happening and I didn't want it to be a focus but something that keeps you interested.
