Realize that the judges have to listen to it, and we have a LOT of tracks we need to listen to, so please be realistic with your expectations...

I think you mean "don't rush yourself", quality of quantity doesn't really make much sense in his scenario. You also don't sound supportive over anyone that wants to join now, if he can make/finish a song before two-six days from now then why stop him.

Of course I'll set quality above quantity. Never ever will I rush my work. Never did that and this will never be happening anytime. I mean, if I can't make it for this album, I'm sure there are others which may accept my piece of work gladly. So don't be worried about my quality.

Though I can say, I made quite the progress today, overhauled what I have already finished and added a new sequence. I'm in the flow at the moment. I probably will be finished in time with a good quality ambient track. Maybe I even have enough time to add some vocals, but just maybe.

If you can do it: Go for it.
I didn't mean to be a mean and unkind person, but starting your song 2 days before the due date is a rather crazy undertaking.

JUDGES when you get on skype, please message me, so I can put you in a special group, and we can begin. Remember that we are not judging the relative value of a song in comparison to the others, but on how good it is standing alone.

The Mp3 is for judging, I don't want to make the judges spend hours downloading 100MB wav files. If your track is accepted, I will ask you for a .WAV or other lossless format to upload on bandcamp.

Don't worry about it, as long as it isn't days after I'll still accept it. I hate to call the submission dates "guidelines" in fear of people taking advantage, but if there is any legitimate issue or confusion, I will more than happily take your song shortly after it is due.

To all who have doubted me, I am indeed finished, just mixing and mastering is left. Though I have done most of that while the production of the track. So maybe today, maybe tomorrow at the latest.

EDIT: Scratch that. Was easier than I thought. Finished now, just need to check it over a few times before I send it.

I got a total of 12 hours of work for the track. Began yesterday with a little snippet I already had done, finished today. Quite nice.
