No.

Subjectivity in workflow is subjective. And from a technical standpoint, Logic and Pro tools are miles ahead of Ableton in terms of native effects. I do agree that Ableton's flow is great, though.

I wasn't exactly being serious with that statement. But I do think the Ableton native effects aren't great. That's what VSTs are for, though. I never trust the native stuff.

Good thing I'm supposed to be doing stuff other than music.

Thinking of getting Ableton after all the good things I've heard about it.

If you got the dough, do it. It's my favorite DAW around by a long short. Like it was mentioned earlier, the workflow is great.

Also, with Ableton, its much easier to stumble upon things that sound good accidentally, then tweak them to fit what you want. Which is perfect for someone like me without a ton of experience with sound creation.

Very true, I think I have spent more time messing around and accidentally making stuff sound good or interesting then making serious music. Its a lot of fun :D

This is especially the case when Ableton Live is paired with FabFilter's Timless 2 VST plugin. The large variety of options and presets in that can create many different interesting sounds.
