No DAW is really 'better' than another, it's all about how much you like how it works.

I prefer ableton simply because the workflow is incredibly quick in comparison to any other DAW - especially since you have no annoying overlaying shit or extra windows to get in the way.

I'm quite happy with Reason and FL Stuio ATM, I was just wondering if it was worth getting

So yeah, thanks!

Can I get some fucking love for Sony Acid? I haven't met a single person yet that even knows what it is. That being said, Live 9 looks intense. Throw Massive and some plugins in there and it's game over!
New track in the works!!

DAW: Sony Acid Pro 6
VSTi: NI Massive 1.3
Plugins: Not many

You don't need a cabinet full of cleaners to make a sick track

Sorry, no love shall be given to Sony Acid from me. I have used it, even produced an entire song in it, and after my experience with it I shall never use it again (thanks to ableton being vastly superior).

Besides VSTs? It would all come down to workflow and the ability or need to preform live. Ableton is hands down the best live performance program I have used and seeing the huge list of artists that use it many people agree with that. Try the demo and see for yourself if you like it over Reason. I have used Reason in my classes and I much prefer Ableton's workflow; specifically the session view and clip launching. If you feel you don't get enough out of reason and want to use VST's then I highly recommend Ableton.

I should have filmed my reaction. I need that EQ now.
I always enjoy doing something until I have to.
Good thing I'm supposed to be doing stuff other than music.
