<Pony & Not> <Preview> Halloween Tracks

Postby A.I. Music » 26 Oct 2012 22:30

I've been working on some Halloween themed tracks. I will be releasing them this Halloween, obviously. One is a VIP of an older track I made, and the second is a Glitch Hop track I'm working on. I really hope you all enjoy them, and please give me some feedback on them from what I have.

Mixing. You need to do it better.
Why is the melody in the back so quiet?
Why are the wubs so out of line with the rest of the track?
Atonal bass mixing with tonal melody creating mud.
This applies to both tracks.
Everything is off key.
Yes, bass music requires a key.
The drums are fine, though.

I know bass music requires a key. I just don't really know a great deal of music theory. I would like to learn it.

Actually, keeping everything in key is rather easy.
All you have to do is study scales, recognize the patterns, and then use only the notes in that scale. Today, I suggest going on google and searching music theory, and you'll see that one of the first lessons any site offers is scaling. Learn major and minor first, you can worry about modes later, and try them out. If you can, you should take lessons on an instrument, because that is a quick way to learn music theory. Any instrument that isn't the triangle, really.

Good luck!
