lol techno.

I posted this on tumblr and soundcloud, but I was wondering if anyone had any feedback on what to change with the arangement or themes. The track will be longer and will include samples from the show. EQ and mastering limited due to WIP.

Is deep techno the right genre? Or would techno suffice?

Spoiler: it will be part of an EP/double single, themed around the arrival of a certain villain, with an army. Both tracks [This and Something Wicked…] are in WIP stage.

I don't have much to add, but here's my two cents.

Try adding more variation to the beat. Like, take out certain percussive elements at points in the song where you're trying to build tension, and add them back in when you want to relieve tension, like right after one of the drops.

I also think that this song could benefit from adding some drum fills at certain points.
I also also think the occasional triangle hit would fit in well.

And to answer your question; yes, I think this qualifies as Deep Techno.

Thanks for the feedback. I would add drum fills, but the step sequencer has only 64 steps, so even the fills would be repeative. Though I will see if I can pull it off any how.
Idk about a triangle hit, as I don't have one lying around, but I'll improvise.

Do you use FL Studio? 'Cause if so, I know a way to get around the limited step-sequencer size.

Edit: Just read your sig. Ignore me, I'm dumb.
