Robotic voices

Postby KillerAmp » 19 Oct 2012 14:54

Im wondering how to achieve effects such as that in deadmau5's sometimes things get whatever

Basically that robotic voice, not like a vocoder, but like the moonbase alpha kind of thing, where it renders the voicing off of your text
thanks!

I could never find a good vst text to speach synth without costing hundreds. Your best best is to find a free program that allows you to save the spoken text, import that into ableton, and warp it to fit the song.

That example songs voice is a deadmau5 staple in way. he has used it in a few songs and several live performances. He uses two voices pitched a couple octaves apart and pans them; one left, one right.

You won't be able to use those ones, as those are the Mac voices from the old OS9 days. Bruce and Kathy, I believe.

I don't know how efficient this is, but you can always download the demo of FL and use that voice synthesizer.
