Why would you want a bunch of songs already mastered to be mastered again? It kind of takes away from the whole performance part of DJing too.

Mastering to 0db is pretty dangerous, especially on older systems. Even with modern equipment, you're going to have problems with intersample peaking and the extra noise from dithers, if you use them

He means that 0dB is the absolute limit; the track he was referring to was normalized to over 0dB.
