Mac Orchestral VST/AU?

Whats up braddas?

I just can't seem to find an prchestral VST for mac, as Edirol is for PC only? Can anyone help me out? I use the DAW Logic Pro

Logic comes with a whole host of Orchestral instruments. The easiest way to find them is this:

1. Go to Track > New Track
2. Create an Instrument Track
3. Go to the top right of the Logic window and click Media
4. Click the Library Tab
5. Look down the list until you see Orchestral
6. Click into that folder to find the different sections

The equivalent to Edirol is the EXS24, but these patches are pre-set up for you. Edirol, EXS, Kontakt, PLAY, these are all called 'samplers', which is what you use to load in samples. Logic's native is EXS24.

Oh ok, well I was hoping to look for a VST/AU with solo cello's, violins, timpani, horns, woodwinds, etc. Any help there? And thanks for replying

Other than that, you've got things like East West, Symphobia, Albion, and all the CineSamples stuff too. It depends on your budget I guess!
