Okie, so it's pretty simple. For once, and probably only here, you can relax yourself and say what you honestly think, even if you know it isn't true.

I personally find it funny when people make a song with a piano and one or two string instruments and call it "Orchestral." The concept of the orchestra is a bunch of instruments helping together to play one song. @_@

I'm embarressed to say that my music (I guess it's PS1 Orchestral style...?) is pretty cliche and sometimes very simple. It usually consists of one tune played by an instrument, and then a bunch of other instruments backing it up with arpeggios. Silly lazy me :/

Dubstep... Holly golly don't get me started on this. There's so much repetition in this, when I hear a song, I skip through the song to hear the same pattern I heard in the beginning. And the same goes for Deadmau5. His music is like listening to a tiny 10 second tune looped for hours and hours on end with that same beat he uses in every god damn song. Can't he get a new beat for once, or at least make a little variation?
Back to Dubstep, I hate these "wub" sounds. It's like you got a tuba, shoved it into the sea and played it while somehow twisting the brass inwards and outwards. Other people seem to like these sounds going into their ear but I personally don't consider that as music, let alone a melodic sound.

I don't hate any genres, that's why I'm going to poke fun at a few genres i like.

House - Come on, all house is the same. You take a Four To The Floor beat in 128bpm stolen from a disco song, add a few saw waves, and BAM, there is your newest david guetta hit. Or maybe progressive? You take house, and stretch it out to 8 minutes, adding a minute of the beat in the beginning.

Metal - They're just hiding the fact that they can't play any complicated arpeggios and melodies by adding more distortion.

Brostep - Lol skrillex fans have no idea what they're listening to. Dubstep? WHERE THA FLIP WERE YOU WHEN 90S HAPPENED THAT YOU CALL THESE WUBS DUBSTEP.
Whatever. You hide the fact that you can't make a melody to save your life by adding more sound design. YOURE NOT BETTAH THAN METAL, BROSTEP.
oh, and the drums. Come on, I could make myself a coffee, and drink it between two hits of the snare.

Drum 'n' Bass - Look. You take drums as hard as you can, and arrange them in a tempo of 180-ish bpm, adding as much fm Bass as you can, and then setting S&H'd noise to modulate the fm amount. Simple.

Since I hate all music with equal passion, here are some of my favorites-

Parodies: For people too talentless to compose their own music. Like really, who likes parodies after they're six? Retards?
Drone: Minutes of endless long notes and hours of boredom. Maybe if they could actually play an instrument then people would listen to them for non-ironic purposes.
Grindcore: Just like drone, but fast and without talent instead of slow and talentless. Playing fast doesn't make you sound any better.
Dance-Pop: Music for people so bad at music they can't make parodies and mindless drones (see what I did there!)
Reggae: WEED SUKZ!!! LULZ!!!!!!1111
Industrial: There is a reason that everyone associates industrial with industrial metal, ebm and electro-industrial. Its 'cause old school industrial wasn't music, it was people who were trying to make music when they should have been banned from it.
Indie-Rock: Boring Boring Boring BORING!!!!
Slowcore: Like indie rock, but slower and even more boring!!!!!
Punk: Playing poorly isn't rebellious, its conforming. Actually making good music, that's being a non-conformist rebel guy.
Hardcore Punk: Playing faster isn't helping your case, punks. And learn to sing. And little girl could sing better than y'all.
Digital Hardcore- Nor is adding synths and noise loops.

But seriously, I don't hate any genres, just I don't like much of the output in most of them (including the ones I like). But pretty much every genre has a least a couple of good songs/artists in it. Except crunkcore. There is not one good crunkcore song. It can go lick my penis up and down, up and down, back and forth.

Experimental/Industrial Dubstep: Kinda depends. I've been trying this recently. Just adding glitchiness and robotic/metallic noise everywhere (while maintaining some features of dubstep and/or brostep). Sounds like shit, but it's so much fun to make.
Speedcore: Lol, make it faster and louder!
Breakcore: dBlue Glitch + snare. But it sounds so good.
Death Metal: Which country was it made in? Cannibal Corpse and Entombed don't sound the same at all.
Grindcore: Sounds like absolute shit. But I love it so much.
Psychedelic: I love tripping out.
Experimental: Weird... It's the single best thing to happen to music, regardless of genre.
Progressive House: I bet it's all complex like prog metal and omg that would be epic and... Hey wait a second... This isn't like the progressive music I know at all! So repetitive.
Orchestral that is produced on a computer: Strings! I love strings. I'm so alone.
Actual Orchestral: I feel enrinched for listening to this.

French House: This is the gayest crap. None of the people making it actually play bass or guitar; they just sample good bassists and guitarists, and repeat the same bar over and over again. Nothing new has come out of this genre in ten years.

Prog Trance: I swear, the people that make this have a computer generate the melody, then the plug the melody into a template that generates a song for it. Any prog track can be knocked out in an hour, and the only effort is thinking up a pretentious sounding name. Trance is dead. Sasha killed it.

Goa: No one that makes this music is actually a Hindu or a Buddhist or whatever. The Phrygian mode isn't even from India. And all of these hacks co-opt that, and conflate it with Hindu mystical iconography, pretending that their music leads to some kind of exotic spiritual bliss. It's all marketing. If you don't actually believe in Ganesha, putting him on your album art makes you pretty fucking imperialist.

Psytrance: And then you go into this stuff. Can you even call it music. Half the time, it's just a really stupid sci-fi movie quote and some fm synths that don't even sound musical. People call dubstep noise, but psy was doing that ten years ago.

Minimal Psy: Just because I complain about all the a-tonal synths and dumb movie quotes in psy doesn't mean you can take them out and it'll all be okay. Now literally nothing happens. These tracks don't do anything. It's just the same thing over and over again. Then some cymbal crashes and you act like God moved a fucking mountain. Get over yourselves, goa turds.
