So, who else loves fall?

Autumn is a pretty neat season, but who else shares my absolute love (borderline fetish) for it?

Sure, the leaves changing colors is nice, but what I really like about autumn is:

- The cool, crisp air.
- The beautiful sunsets that happen just about the right time in the evening.
- The smell of dead leaves, pine needles, and chimney smoke.
- The eerie stillness of the woods.
- No bugs.

A lot of my fondest memories happened in autumn, like visiting grandma's house in the countryside, riding bikes with my friends from afternoon til dusk, going trick or treating, drinking fresh apple cider on the porch, playing games with my brothers and sisters in the backyard, building forts out of leaves, and so much more.

About this time each year, when the air gets cooler, and people start up their fires, I always get hit with such an enormous wave of nostalgia. All those great adventures as a kid, now only a memory to both cherish and mourn.

Who else loves this season?

Fall. Yes.
I love fall. Aside from it being beautiful, I've always liked the 'transition' seasons (Spring and Fall) because they aren't too extreme either way (ie not too hot or cold, not too humid or dry). Fall does get a bit chilly up here, nothing compared to winter though.

I love trick or treating. 14 (15 in 2 months!) is probably a bit old for it, but I'm still going this year

I share the same feelings for fall. In my city it rains alot, and we even get a thunderstorm here and there, I love that kind of weather, easily my favourite.

It's not extremely cold either, nor hot, so it's perfect weather for me, I get more motivation by weather like this as well, and windy/breezy days just add to that. It's the perfect season. Spring would have to be my second.

I wish I lived in, like, the Carolinas or something, just so that I could see the seasons change...

Here in Florida, especially the part where I live in (the retirement community capital of the world, NOTHING CHANGES.

Spring: Warm. Boring trees with annoying cicadas.
Summer: Warm. Boring trees with annoying cicadas. Maybe a hurricane, but then it passes and you have annoying mosquitoes.
Fall: Warm. Boring trees with annoying cicadas.
Spring: Warm. Boring trees with annoying dead cicadas falling out.

Everything's so flat here, that overpasses on highways are the highest altitude in the state. I mean, once you hit Georgia when driving, everything just changes to beauty. I don't know if it's because I've lived here for most of my life, but yeah.

Sorry for the rant, I had to listen to cicadas all afternoon.

I know your feel of pain for Florida weather. Was stationed there for 3 years.

Spring is Humid
Fall is Humid
Summer is kill myself right now heat and humidity.
and winter is a 2 week period of weather that would be nice, but ends up being too cold, forcing you to question whether or not sandals were a good idea.

Over here, Summer is 35-45C (95-113F), half dry half humid, fall is filled with rain, winter is filled with snow and often institutions like schools close down during snow blizzards, spring is warm and then summer again RUINS EverYTHIng I HAte TUSUSMMmER AaAaAaaaa

Parts of California have great weather year-round, but Fall is, without a doubt, my favorite season. It's the perfect temperature out of all the seasons, not to mention Fall is just lovely. Additionally, some of the best movies of the year usually come out in the Fall season.

I adore fall and winter alike. The scents, the environmental aesthetics...it's all very comforting to me. Plus I can wear my best and most fashionable clothing in the colder weather!

California weather:
Fall: WINDY AND LOUD
Winter: Borderline sweater weather, unless you go up north. Then it's actual sweater weather
Spring: Actually pretty nice.
Summer: Also really nice. There's no moisture in the air (lol desert) so it's really hot, but not humid at all.

Fall is alright, only ahead of Spring because it leads into winter. I will admit autumn has an amazing feel to it, and the colors are beautiful coupled with a musky, earthen smell that seems to be everywhere. If it rains enough though, I find fall to be ridiculously depressing. Everything feels soggy.

However, nothing beats walking outside after a lake-effect snowstorm. Everything is beautifully white, the air is crisp and clean and its so quiet you can hear yourself think. Winter is number one.

But I live in New York. "Average Weather" does not apply. It will sometimes snow in May. It also may sometimes be 70 degrees in December. Except for snow, I guess. But I love it so I'm not complaining.

Love autumn so much...And in NY we get to experience all four seasons in less than 24 hours on any day (usually in winter though)!

But fall is definitely best season because of the leaves/colors, the milder chilliness and the selling point for me: HALLOWEEN. No, ALL OF OCTOBER IS THE BEST PART OF THE YEAR.
