I focused a lot more on mixing and sound editing in this than other things I've done. As such, the velocities are no longer all exactly the same, as they were in previous tracks. It also ties in with discord being awoken, hence the name. Hope you guys like it!

I like this idea. It's very upbeat, and I especially like the second part of the piano intro. However, I'll say that it could use some work on expression & dynamics. I'm ALL about being nitpicky with instrumental stuff, and a slight problem with this track is that the instruments sound...
Well, I'm almost afraid to say it, but there are some parts where the instruments sound unrealistic.
In terms of the musical ideas, this song is great, but some of the sounds themselves feel mechanical to me.
Expression, dynamics, instrument tone, and realistic articulations, I feel, are all great ways to get something from sounding "midi" to sounding live. Really getting to the nitty-gritty with your instrument flavors can do boatloads of wonder for your music.

Also stereo width & balance. A small complaint, but still. Less emptiness can be a Godsend.

But, apart from that, this song sounds nice.
IMO a good song (with even better potential!) with a few rough edges.
I'm always half-asleep, and I hate dubstep.
Also, you know that other, way more awesome Nomnom guy who shows up on EQD sometimes? THAT PERSON IS NOT ME.
We just happen to have similar pseudonyms.

Thanks for the feedback, and I have to say I agree. I'm definitely getting better at composition, but sound design and dynamics are still really not my strong points.
