<semi-pony><original><WIP> Leaving Home

Postby colortwelve » 10 Sep 2012 08:07

This is officially the first song I've gotten anywhere near finishing with my new laptop, and I'm still coming down from the high of putting it together, so I thought I'd share it with you guys, see what ya think :D

I know it's got its problems... I could probably stand to mix it better, and the kick is almost all sub, so I need to fix that, but beyond that, feedback, thought, comments, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

(Oh, and a justification for the semi-pony tag: It's another sad song for Spike, because I'm so original :P )

GIANT EDIT:

(This is what I did with it after getting back from school. It's got a good bit more to it, and I think the mixing's a tad better now.)

Yeah the kick needs to stand out more lol. But the low end is really nice and there's some great layering of sounds going on throughout. I really don't think I have any suggestions or complaints though. I really like this. Maybe the white noise buildups could filter/build up a bit more. They kinda just... are there. But yeah that's really it.

Also, I personally think it sounds more chill/relaxing than sad.

Okay, I updated the OP with the stuff I've done with the song since I got home today :D
