Just finished my first song, please tell me what you like/don't like. I feel like it's fairly decent, but tell me what you think. Apologies if posting in the wrong section/using tags wrong, as you can tell by my incredibly high post count, I'm new to the forum, although I think I'm doing this right. Anyway, tell me what you think.

Hey man welcome to MLR
This is pretty sick man
Im not to into dubstep but 2:32 and on i would have to say was awesome
Im kinda new to the whole "music making" thing so cant really criticize you on anything
But i will say that 0:55 could use something else like a bassline playing behind the wub or whatever
But its a nice piece man better than my first song :D keep it up

I've never made much dubstep before, but here's what I came up with:

- It did get repetitive, even when you added in more instruments/sounds. That's because the main wobble bass was playing the same stuff and you didn't build of what you already had (Not in terms of other instruments, but making the melody longer or switching it around). Sometimes, but not always, it's better to work with what you already have than bring in more instruments. It's up to you to find where that point is.

- The snare was rather weak. Listen to most dubstep songs and the snare is pretty strong, usually.

- It could be mixed a bit better. Some of the higher-freq instruments came in a bit too loud, and kinda diminished the wobble. Especially the square synth you have around 1:50.

Thanks for your criticisms! I am HORRENDOUS at mixing so that would be why it sounds unbalanced at times. Really the only thing I did mixing wise was throw Maximus on the master channel and fiddle with it a bit, so I'll probably spend a good chunk of my free time practicing/watching tutorials/etc. Also, this was done in Massive mostly, but the synth at 1:50 was created with sytrus, could that have something to do with it sticking out so much, or is my terrible mixing/mastering the only thing to blame? I will vary the melody and bassline in the future to try and stop the repetition too, and I'll try layering multiple snares to see if that makes a stronger sound, I couldn't really find one I liked in the pack I got. Again, thank you very much for the criticism.
