Image line help?

Postby itroitnyah » 27 Aug 2012 05:15

Alright, so yesterday my dad went onto the image line site to download FL Studio 10 Signature edition for me, and I would pay him off after it was downloaded. Unforntunately, he came across a bit of a problem as his mastercard was rejected twice. So is it normal for WorldPay to reject a credit card, or mastercard? My dad is going into the bank to ask about it and hopefully fix the problem soon, but I'm just wondering.

Also, just today after he tried to purchase FLS10, I tried to log in to my email account but Chrome came up with an "insecure algorithem" thingy that prevented me from getting to hotmail. So I tried going to google.com, but just going to google also came up with an insecure warning. And then a malwarebytes popup appeared, showing that it had found a trojan installer in the system, or something like that. I hit quaratine, but I think that the trojan is going to get through anyways. Is it possible that the trojan came from trying to download FLS10? The problems with chrome didn't appear until after my dad tried to download FLS10.

And another curious thing, is that after uninstalling Chrome and reinstalling, the "insecure site" problem is gone. lol

most likely, the trojan is from before,
or you went to a fake image-line website. The Uninstall/Reinstall thing is making me think the trojan was attached to Chrome, which was why when you uninstalled and reinstalled clean, it was gone. (or hidden)
My guess is that it was something of a DNS Changer (or something like that)
Basically a DNS Changer sends you to an alternate website that looks in every way like the real one, except , hence the Insecure Algorithm. You (your dad) should keep a close eye on the credit card, and check if anything else weird happens on your computer.
