I like what you've done here so far.
Maybe you could deviate from the original a little bit more, having a lead solo here and there, but aside that. I really don't have any complaints against this version.

The problem I have with the original is that it is extremely repetitive. I also think you should deviate from the original, maybe with some big chords or another melody.
Other than that, its pretty good.

At 0:37, that lead synth really needs to be more layered. You can try adding more voices to that synth with unison detune (or as it's usually referred to as, "detune spread"). Also, the bass is pretty inaudible. If you can't hear the bass with anything except your earphones or a subwoofer, then that's not good enough.
