Lossless Mp3 Converter

So I see and hear alot of people talking about how converting their Flawless WAV masterpieces, that blesses the ear's like the tongue's of angels, to MP3 kinda... dumb's down the quality a bit. So I Searched around and found a fairly simple-to-use tool to convert without losing quality.

The Converter is pretty standard, hasn't fucked over my computer yet, and the download/installation process is strait forward(Click No to not install this retarded new browser that bones my laptop with ad's/click yes if I should be took off of the face of the earth).

*Fun Fact: Most Record company's and remix competition's only accept 128 kbps, huh..

Free Sample's, Sample pack's

Sample's! Sample's! Every website I've ever been on has a strict hard on for those kinky bastard's, So I've found.. well.. found again, a website in that specializes in that crazy itch you need to scratch.

The Website, or BreakBeat Paradise is honestly probably one of the ugliest fucking website's(Other than this one and all forum's in general Har-Dee-Har) I've ever fucking seen, But it does it's job and it is very good at it.

It's good so long as you don't want to sell your shit on beatport or iTunes that is, the site isn't 100% royalty free.... No that's not true. You can sell it, but it just seem's nicer to actually support someone who's helping you rather than just stealing it from them. (But do whatever you want. I'm a person on the internet, not a cop.)

*Why did I just write a wall of text? Because I went out of my way to find the site's for you so therefor I can.

First of all, compressing a lossless into mp3 WILL lose quality. It doesn't matter which converter you use.

Second, freac is a much better free audio converter.

Also, 128kbps sucks. I notice alot of loss in the high end, on cymbals and such.

Software: I'm original, so i use Sunvox. I used to use LMMS, but the crashing drove me insane.

*Ahem*

Apostrophes do not work that way.

Anyway, either I'm a moron, or that site doesn't actually say anything about lossless .mp3-->.wav conversion. As expected really. Not that I know all the details or anything, but .wavs are bigger for a reason.

Fun Fact: Most Record company's and remix competition's only accept 128 kbps, huh..

I'm wondering about this though, 'cause it seems kinda dumb. If you can render in a higher bitrate, I don't see why you shouldn't.

Yeah, I don't mean to be a jerk when you're trying to write a helpful post, but lossless conversion to MP3 is impossible due to the nature of MP3 encoding. Just compare the converted MP3 and original WAV on a spectrogram, you'll see extremely high frequencies get cut out on the MP3. (Though this will be minimally visible with a 320kbps MP3.)

The remix competitions I've entered haven't accepted only 128k. o.0 At the lowest, it's been 192k, sometimes ranging up to 320k.
