So, normally, I wouldn't critique finished songs entered in a remix competition. So this post shouldn't exist.
But, as I was listening, BHAAAAWAAADDUUURRADFADFHSJADFNEAFHGP those vocals came in on three. You may have noticed that the vocals got to the chorus earlier than the instrumental did. That was because you brought in the vocals two beats early when they first came in. Consider moving the vocals two beats ahead, and then they'll be on the beat originally intended for them to be. I, however, don't know if you did it on purpose, it could sound fine if you did, but at least make sure that the chorus hits on time. I'll admit, pickups are fine, but not when they're not intended to be there. (I.E. there's no emphasis on the downbeat of the chorus)
Just thought I'd let you know.

Here's how the judging of the remixes is working. I'm picking 10 of my personal favorite remixes to be candidates for the album. I will then have a few musician friends vote with me on the final winners. Each remix will be rated 1-10 by each of the judges, and then the ratings will be averaged. This average will be the remix's score. From there it's pretty simple... The remix with the highest score wins 1st, the remix with the second highest wins 2nd, and so on. Good luck to everybody! And to everyone who doesn't make it, thanks for participating. It's been a lot of fun, and I enjoyed hearing every single remix!

I'm just remembering now that the file I sent a few weeks ago was an mp3, it appears to be letting me export a wav now (wasn't before for some reason), so I'll send this again. It's fine as an email attachment, right?

Aviators, is it okay to enter more than one remix? Because I already entered my Friendship remix, but in the extra month you gave us, I decided to write another, just because I could. And, I definitely like this one more than the last one I entered, just due to musical knowledge. Remix in question is below, if anyone would like to take a listen.
Okay, you didn't ask for critique, but I'm gonna give it anyway! xD First off, I like this remix a lot. MUCH better than the Friendship remix in my opinion. It's just very fun to listen to. It's being held back by a few problems, though... The biggest being the vocals. The vocals are VERY quiet, and are quite muddy as well. Maybe lay off on some reverb, turn them up, and boost the high-mids on the EQ? Actually, the entire mix is a bit muddy. The vocals are really the only place where it becomes a problem, so don't worry too much about the whole mix yet. Keeping on the topic of vocals, they're well placed, but at times they're just SLIGHTLY off. I know my vocals are hard to place, so maybe listen to the original to see how they should be aligned? It's not a dealbreaker, but it does tend to stick out quite a bit when the vocals are a bit off-time. Okay, moving on. Drums. I LOVE the drums actually, but the kick seems a little dull to me. Maybe all it takes is turning it up a little. It's a very surging dance-y remix, so that kick has to be the absolute centerpiece of the beat.
Anyway, those a pretty small issues. One thing that is a bit lacking in this remix is the mastering. There really doesn't seem to be any... SO, I'm gonna offer you what I offered Gremlin and Jolt. I'll master it for you if you'd like. Just send me a 32 bit WAV with no effects on the master track, and I'll do some mastering for ya. Actually, to be fair, I'm offering this to anyone. If you need a little help mastering, I will gladly help you out. I'm no expert, but I can do it.
TL;DR I love your remix and I think this one has a good chance in the competition!

Cool, you and your select group of folks are voting for winners. I got jipped on a remix contest recently because the other two dudes had more facebook friends than me. Haha!
