I think I'll just make chillstep as to not confuse myself and the listeners too much.

I'm planning on making something with really nice sounding pads and excessive amounts of sub bass. And if I want to be really stereotypical of chillstep, I'll add female vocals (which is truly overdone in chillstep). I will get some nice reverb on the snare and clap to get a crisp echo from them. I also need to compose something that isn't dissonant. Dissonance will kill the relaxing, euphoric atmosphere of my chillstep. It needs to be melodic or it wont sound chill enough for this. I will definitely add mid range bass, but not like this all out Exision style bass. Just maybe a simple wobble run through a low pass filter. And finally, lotsa piano chords. Lots of them.

Overall, I'm going for something a bit like Rag Doll by Shorterz and Enigma. I'm definitely hoping to my song vocals. It may wind up not being as chill as everything else, but I want people to get emotionally moved by the song.

So, since the other attempt to make classic jungle sounded rather creepy than chill, I decided to make another one using the same technique, It worked a-lot better, and when I turned off the HQ Render on sytrus, it sounded even more oldskool!
